I made an order at 5:36pm leaving my college campus. My order should’ve been ready at 5:55pm. By the time I got there, I saw several other people waiting on their orders. There is a young boy at the front counter who barely even helped anyone. All he did was walk to the front register for two seconds and leave for another 10 minutes and do the same thing repeatedly. Here I am, waiting for my order, losing patience. I wasn’t even the only one frustrated but several other people were. Those people complained on the phone to their relatives while another woman hadn’t even been given the chance to order. My mom called me twice during that whole thing. When she called me, 42 minutes had gone by total when added together. Then, when the incompetent boy finally noticed me, MY ORDER WAS NOT EVEN MADE YET. By now, an entire hour has gone by. They finally gave me my order only for the chicken to not even taste right. The chicken was soggy and over seasoned and the ranch tasted expired. If I could give this place zero stars, I would. That boy should not be at the front counter of all he is going to do is walk away constantly for 10 minutes at a time and only come back for two seconds. If you can’t handle an app for customers to order from, then DONT HAVE THE APP. I should not have been waiting over an hour for my order when I ordered it 15 minutes ahead of time. This is definitely the worst Popeyes ever. Even when my family tried to order all dark meat, they gave us all white meat. They do it every time. I would not recommend this Popeyes at all to anyone who is reading this. The woman in front of me who had been there longer has every right to be angry. Especially when that same boy took her order and left only to come back 12 minutes later and say they were waiting for her order. Excuse me, shouldn’t the chicken already be made? What bothers me is how people order online and get no acknowledgement while the drive thru is more prioritized yet those people in the drive thru get the exact same treatment. These employees don’t care about their customers. They neglect them. That same woman was fed up and ended up demanding a refund which was rightfully owed. I am writing to express my disappointment with the service and food handling I recently experienced at your Zachary location..
During my visit for a take out order, the service was EXTREMELY slow despite there being few customers in line. I understand that delays happen but after 30 minutes , what truly concerned me was observing employees placing orders that were made incorrectly from the drive-thru, back onto the rack to be re-served to other customers. This is not only unprofessional, but it raises SERIOUS food safety concerns.
As a paying customer, I expect my food to be prepared fresh and handled properly—not recycled from someone else’s mistaken order. This practice is unacceptable and damages trust in your brand. No sense of urgency at all, not even with the management.
I hope this will be addressed immediately for the sake of your other customers, because I won’t be returning. After all that time I spent there my order was still incorrect and cold. I guess I should have checked before I left....
