THE Chocolate Donut w/Glaze. This is the new shop in Zanesville for Donuts that just opened. As a Google guide, I been waiting to get to the new Happy Donuts to try them out. I grew up eating Darrel's donuts as I lived around the corner. I have had Donald's oftens too. I preffer Darrel's unless I'm getting a sticky pecan bun from Donald's. Donald's is not making those at this time (no oven) that was a over a month ago. THE REVIEW * The lady was nice I ordrered my donuts and asked for the apple fritter to be cut in half. She said no problem. She tossed a little something in my bag. She said, " I put a chocolate glazed donut in the bag for you." Wow thank you. Actually it was an evil plot, so I start trying them out splitting em half with my daughter. Then I get to this chocolate donut w/glaze. It's light, airy, with a perfect crisp glaze. It's not an overwhelmingly chocolate donut, with the color of like a wheat bread in color but lighter. This chocolate flavor is just right. This donut, is wonderful tasting and perfect. It's one of the best donuts in town. So, I'm out running errands and return like 20 minutes later to buy a box of these crack infused donuts.
Seriously there has been debates on social media on the donut topic for Zanesville Donald' or Darrell's which were brothers who successfully divided Zanesville by loyal fans. Well I can tell you this. Happy Donuts is right there give them a shot they are a new contender. Get the crack I mean chocolate donut...
Read moreI have to admit, I felt like I was cheating when I went here the first time. My all-time favorite donut place is literally just down the street. So I looked over my shoulder and walked in. So glad I did!
This isnât your fancy-pants donut shop with all the hipster names for their sugar dough combinations. Happy Donuts just has your favorites in rare form. Hands down theyâve got the absolute best glazed donuts Iâve ever had. If you can take my word on that, just imagine what their other donuts must be like.
I was shocked to find they have Kolaches. I havenât seen those since I lived in Texas. Get the jalapeño sausage ones! Then thereâs the bear claws, the various jelly-filled offerings, and my baby girl loves their cream-filled heart-shaped donuts.
Get there!...
Read moreI rarely ever leave reviews online for businesses however after visiting this morning I felt compelled to do so. First and foremost the donut shop itself gives you the feeling of an old style bakery which is charming in itself. Obviously a family run business and you truly get the feel they care about the products that they're turning out. Now regarding the product, although I have not have a traditional donut, the apple fritter I got this morning is hands down one of the best I've ever had. Crispy on the outside, glazed perfectly, with chunks of apple and cinnamon spice. I would put this up against any apple fritter from anywhere in Ohio. ...
