Pat's Place — Restaurant in Zephyrhills

I would like to rate in the negative. The bartender/ face of the place treated me very unprofessional and was perhaps the most prejeducial person i have ever encountered. I selected a song, actually several from the juke box after purchasing a beer. She did not like my selection as it was african american song and was available on the jukebox. She was very unkind and nasty to me and stated "we dont listen to that kinda stuff here". I was perplexed with her statement as i believe this to be a public venue and America. After her nasty confrontation and throwing my half drank beer in the trash...she demanded i leave after not having done anything wrong....she then corresponded " good luck getting a cab". She doesnt deserve to be the advocate for Pats Place if there can only be cetain people allowed in and can only hear what she approves. She is a terrible reflection of our society and only showed biase and hatred. Completely dark, stinky smoky, me and my recently turned 21 (last month) went in because it is the closest bar to our house, the lady was rude, and she refused service because my friends ID was not "a 21 ID" ,what does this even mean? The id states "not 21 until *date", this means that if the date on it has happened it most definitely IS "a 21 ID" this interaction was in our humble opinions extremely discriminatory based on age-ism, he is 21 just "not 21 for long enough " which is as I said discrimination, as an adult 21 year old free American he has the right to buy and consume alcohol, we were completely sober so there's no reason whatsoever that she should have refused service, it is the same as if she said I don't like your hair, or the color of your skin, or I don't like that...

Been a couple times. First on a weekend night and the next time on a Monday night. Service was a little slow, but with one bartender both nights, it's probably hard to keep up. Both times they had karaoke. They have some good singers in there and the people that run the karaoke are really nice. You can smoke in here, just in case you don't like to be around it.
