Waterplay At Zephyr Park — Attraction in Zephyrhills

The splash pad is very nice with shaded areas for the parents to sit. The park itself is nice. The reason for the 3 stars is cleanliness and the people. With children you should not have to tell your children not to pick up balloons laying all around on the splash pad. Keep in mind we were the first ones there. There was a bottle of alcohol and some type of smoking package out there as well as someone's clothes. There were shady looking people having some type of little gathering and one of the ladies who looked like she had smoked a few came in the gate and washed off her hands in the splash pad water and left back out (mind you there are bathrooms right near the splash pad that she walked past). I wish i would have taken pictures of what i saw. They invested all this money into this park several years ago and it has went down. I really don't know if we will be back. It just feels to unsafe for my children and myself...

There's not much to do for children around here especially with 240 sexual predators within a circular mile I was shocked to find that out after there's only a hundred 90% / circular mile from Landon road within the last 3 years they're flocking in watch your children closely, and I know of corporals and whatnot that cover up for people like William Michael Watson who is registered in Tallahassee not herethis dish it did not come with a handbook and it was shocking and disgusting to me that the school's children and families and people who have been in law enforcement for 27 years just push it under the rug and get upset when you try to find out someone's name that is living in your child's household. Every time we go to the splash area the water either turns off or isn't on in the first place. I don't know if there is a button or what. When the water is on it smells very strongly of chlorine, so if you have asthma I wouldn't suggest going to the splash area. Also, there is a gang of kids that were being watched by the police for terrorizing the area. The place definitely needs to be raked or something. There is sticks and leaves everywhere. It looks very unkempt. I will not take my kids because the swing set and slides are in the sun and they would be burned if they went to play.
