Very sophisticated makeover on a old out of business restaurant. Service was great.. A big thank you to Joss who was our server.. She was very nice, professional, and knowledgeable.. Now on to the food.. It was really good as well!! It's a small menu, compared to other Tex-Mex restaurants.. But that's okay, because the food was so flavorful.. We saw they had Empenadas on starters..so we got those in chicken, no pic sorry.. Very good, a crispy filled pocket filled with a mixture full of chicken, potatoes, and herb mixture, comes with a pretty spicey liquid dip.. Now to the entrees, I had a chicken burrito full of a citrus marinated shredded chicken, lettuce, tomato, rice, beans, etc.. Excellence in taste, An A plus in plating..and a hefty helping of pico..The only negative I have is it doesn't come with any sauce for dipping , unless you want the salsa that is mild or hot that Joss brought when we ordered food.. But if you want Sour Cream or Guacamole, you need to ask for that.. And the Cilantro can be heavy in areas of the burrito, so a cooling sour cream would be great.. We definately will be back for future meals.. ** They also do many take out orders as a lit up wall menu available for people doing carry out.. There is also a drive up , not sure if it is open for picking up those carryout orders yet though.. And they have a few Desserts too.. Hoping that I didn't miss anything that I needed to write in review.. This is definately a place go have a meal at , See Pictures below.. Oh, Duh, my wife had the Chicken Tacos and said they were very good and stuffed full of goodies.. FYI: The Tortillas are made at the restaurant for the fajitas, tacos, and the WONDERFUL HOMEMADE TORTILLA CHIPS!!! A pretty unique place, kind of hidden, cuz it's set in the back of property instead of being right at sidewalk distance off of Sheridan...

Hmmm no wonder we got such slow service!!! Oh and they serve alcohol too which probably slowed down service too because when I went back to get the straws they were all making drinks lol I won’t be back well maybe sometime if they change back to the beginning the way...
Read moreAt Pollo Bacano was greeted by a warm and friendly atmosphere from the moment I walked in. The decor is vibrant and inviting, creating a comfortable space to enjoy a meal. The staff was exceptionally friendly, making the experience even more enjoyable.
I started with the tostones appetizer, which was a highlight of the meal. They were packed with flavor and had the perfect crunch, setting a high bar for the rest of the dishes.
For my main course, I ordered the al pastor and carne asada tacos. While the carne asada had a delicious flavor profile, I found the meat to be a bit on the dry side, which was disappointing. On the other hand, the al pastor taco was quite salty, overshadowing the other flavors I was hoping to enjoy.
I must mention that the prices for the tacos felt a bit elevated for what I received. While I appreciate quality, I expected a little more balance in flavor and texture given the cost.
On a positive note, the horchata was absolutely delightful! It was the perfect refreshing complement to my meal and left a sweet finish.
Overall, Pollo Bacano has a lot of potential with its friendly service and vibrant atmosphere. With a few tweaks to the taco offerings, it could be a go-to spot for anyone craving Latin cuisine. I look forward to giving it another try...
