Last night, we reserved a spot at El Tío Bistro to celebrate a special occasion—and what a celebration it turned out to be. From the moment we stepped in, the cozy ambiance wrapped around us like a warm hug. The vibe was pure magic: slow, soothing music floating through a tranquil space, setting just the right mood for an unforgettable evening.
Our host greeted us with genuine warmth and, to our delight, surprised us with complimentary soup and a basket of fragrant garlic bread - simple, but the kind of touch that makes you feel immediately welcome.
We started with their chicken tandoori, which was perfectly spiced and smoky, and a unique vegetarian dish made with fainá and assorted vegetables - a harmonious blend of flavors and textures that felt thoughtfully crafted. Then came the showstoppers: a succulent lamb rack paired with roasted goodies like pak choi, potato, and radish, followed by an indulgent beetroot risotto topped with Parmesan cheese. Every bite was a balance of comfort and creativity.
To toast the evening, we chose the Blue Moon and their signature Mojito del Tío - each drink an artful escape in itself.
Yes, it’s on the pricier side, but honestly, El Tío Bistro isn’t about a quick bite - it’s a romantic pause, a soulful breath between the rush of everyday life. And with a menu that transforms monthly, there’s always a new...

Read moreWe have just had a very nice meal indeed at El Tio Bistro. Be sure to book ahead as we just turned up at 7 and all the tables were reserved but as they were just opening we were able to get a table which was needed later in the evening. Husband had tamerhawk steak done to perfection and I had melt in the mouth pork. Which was a very generous portion and came away with a doggy bag. Too full for pudding I'm afraid. The restaurant is run by husband and wife team, but their chef is amazing you can see him work in the open kitchen. It really is a hidden gem and easy to miss even using Google maps. We asked a neighbour who pointed it out to us and rang the bell. A previous review stated it was the best restaurant in the world, give it a go and see...
