My whole experience at Muelle 3 was amazing. We came in a group of ten and were seated very quickly. We were placed in a seating area almost immediately to get out of the entrance and the decor was comfortable. Only 2 of the group spoke Spanish and our waitress, Maria, was patient in our translations when it came time to order.
One member spilled a drink which broke the glass. We did our best to clean it up and two waitresses were incredibly fast to clear the spill and wash the table. They were very understanding about the glass breaking.
I am not vegan but my sister has been for 4 years so I've had my share of vegan meals at restaurants in Canada. I had the Ravioli which was the best vegan meal I've had. The tomato sauce was as good, if not better, than the ravioli! The food cooked with the Josper oven was a hit and we had to order more of the roasted potatoes.
I asked to compliment the chef and he came out. It was amazing chatting with Erick and got to know more about the restaurant.
I thanked the manager on staff, Herman. He made the effort to walk all the way around the bar just to shake my hand and thank me.
The view was beautiful and the pier right outside the patio is a cute walk looking over the coast of Punta del Este.
If you are driving through Punta del Este or staying for any amount of time, please add this restaurant to your itinerary.
Cons: 1/2: There was a cover charge of 160 pesos per person at the time of writing. It did not include tip. I found it acceptable for the service I got but it could drive some people away.
2/2: The patio door was open to the dining room, which in the summer would be amazing. The day we went, however, it was raining and three of our members were cold. Nothing a jacket couldn't fix and we didn't bother asking for them to close it. More uncomfortable than an annoyance but worth noting.
(Thank you to the hostess, last name Lopez, who gave me all the names. I lost the card which had your name on it to include it in this review. Herman will know...
Read moreThe place is wonderful, and the view even more. However, all the staff seems to be making you a favor, they are all with terrible faces, and shows disafection if anything you request, only had a smile when I entered the restaurant.w I asked my salmon to be very cooked, and it came raw in the middle. I asked them to cook more, and the waiter seemed pissed with my complaint, but they did it, which took a while. It came back practically burned, with black points, but okay. The supposed salsa was all thrown out in this process, so the fish was with no taste and unseasoned. I had to add lemon and a lot of salt and pepper to eat. Also, was very hard to call a waiter. When I paid the account, they charged me the service fee without asking, and I wasn't going to pay because of the terrible service I had. Fortunately I was able to get it back with the guy I believe is the manager. Also, there is no IVA discount for tourists there, and they give a lame...
Read moreI haven’t written the review in a while and now after fulfilling a long awaited trip to South America. I am happy to share a review of a wonderful restaurant that we stumbled on without the help of Dr. Google apologies. It was one of those magical times where you just check out The spot that you happen to stop by and use your forgive me again your “” gut feelings “. This restaurant is beautifully located on the beach, And as I’ve written in the past, I think the restaurant business is so difficult that when you see someone do it so well you have to acknowledge them. But not only was the food special and the restaurant beautiful but the extraordinary, warm, friendly sincere qualities of the people made it truly...
