Bar 200 - By The Beach — Restaurant in Bà Rịa - Vũng Tàu Province

I often eat here, this is why I have put 5 stars, their blue cheese gnocchi are absolutely amazing! However today my experience has not been good at all. If you eat only halal, then you need to be very careful, I ordered local soup that they eat for breakfast something Bo Hue, which is a beef soup. I did ask if it has pork, I said I don’t eat it (in google translate), I did show the “no pork” picture to make sure, water wrote me, that it’s not pork it’s beef in this soup. When they bring the soup I felt taste of soap, already 3rd place where I taste it in Vietnam, and all dishes were different, which makes me sure, it’s not a certain ingredient that tastes like this. After I found 3 pieces of meat, 2 of them didn’t look like beef at all, it was clearly pork(picture attached)…I just had to stop eating. I also asked for coffee with condensed milk that I always order, in all local cafes people already remember what I drink, which is fine if he doesn’t remember, but still both things that I ordered were not to my satisfaction, and I just had to...

This is one of the best eateries on the island and Vietnam! Mostly western food but it's all soo amazing and we are told they are the best ingredients around Vietnam and abroad. Without a doubt, I'd highly recommend the club sandwich it's a huge portion and is bursting with flavor; no other meal has compared!! The pizzas are 100% worth it also. My friends and I have ate here nearly everyday for the past week we are starting to become the furniture.

The owners are great and extremely helpful (Vietnamese and South African), proving loads of tips and recommendations for the island and the rest of our travels through Vietnam. If you're on Con Dao island Bar200 is a must eat!

We have not experienced the scuba diving or snorkeling but I'm sure a day out with Gordon and his knowledge of the island would...

Yesterday was the second time that we (three male friends) went there. I read the reviews of the fantastic pizza, and local friends (probably friends of the owners) recommended Bar 200. I hate to write negative reviews but we will not try a third time. The first time we went there they refused to prepare pizza for us until we pointed out that they had already served pizza to some of their insider friends. Yesterday, the lady said "full" and sent us away instead of clearing an empty table for us. The Bar was full with what looked like a group of expat friends who having been on the island long time simply are to good to be served along with common tourists.
