Pao Quán — Restaurant in Hà Nội

Pao Quan restaurant design is beautiful with its hanging latans and small pond bring a warm atmosphere when you first walk in, but if you are a couple or just a small group of people then this restaurant is not for you. The service requires a lot of attention for those small groups and couples seeking to experience this delightful restaurant. There are a few areas that need improvment. The biggest issue was the lack of portion sizes that small groups and couples could order leaving a lot to be desired as you are not able to experience the full menu options that said I was only able to order 2 dishes but would normally order 3 or 4, I would say that many people like family sized portions and I would be the first to enjoy a large portion of fried rice or grilled fish. However, the cost just simply out ways the benefit of wanting to experience more. My friend told me that this restaurant is special for providing ethnic minority dishes, but neither she (Northern Vietnamese) and I (foreigner) can tell how the cooking and tastes are different from ordinary Vietnamese food, though she said that some ingredients were not commonly seen in Vietnamese dishes.

This place is a bit out of the way, but it's definitely worth a visit! It offers a great menu of traditional Vietnamese items including a little something for everyone from roast chicken to pig intestines. The food is fantastic! Great flavors and generous portions.
