Western Hanoi Hotel — Hotel in Hà Nội

I stayed here recently for 10 days on office visit.||This hotel is located in new Hanoi area, since majority tourists prefer in old Hanoi. This hotel has two wings in same building. Rooms in higher floors are good. It offers complimentary breakfast & the restaurant is located in 10th floor. From this floor, one can have some view of the city.||The breakfast consists off fruits & main course as per local custom. It has good variety for non-vegetarians and limited for Vegans. Breakfast timings are from 6.00 AM to 10.00 AM. The same restaurant is open in the evening for dinner for limited time & limited dishes.||It offers laundry & rates are comparable with any similar hotels. Some rooms will have smoke smell may be due to AC ducts.||Service staff is good. Reception speak reasonable...

To start with, I like this hotel and thankful for the staff!||||This hotel, from facade, only looks like a 2.5 star hotel (this is my opinion and others could tell you a different story) but has much better room than a 2.5 star hotel has.||||I really appreciated their room and their excellet services. Even after the restaurant/bar closed, the room service guy went out to buy beer to serve.||Breakfast was also very good. I loved their Pho too.||||Only one thing you'd better not to expect is a gym. They have 2 treadmills at a dusty balcony which can be reached only when you cross the breakfast restaurant (in your shorts!!)||||All in all, I loved this place but there are something you need to give up. My husband and I had a terrible service experience at western hotel. My husband lost his wallet, so I asked the receptionist “do you see a man wallet?” she said “oh, yes inside have a police card, bank card, and few money right?” I’m was so happy and said “yes” than she tell me “ there a foregin guests man bring a wallet to me, and said he find it in front hotel, but I don’t know and don’t take the wallet, so a man said he will bring to the police officers”. At least, she check name have in the card but NO SHE DON’T, and she said “I don’t know” to me and the man who find the wallet. Now she calling my husband and said that we wrong, why we feedback not good about her, she didn’t say anything to me. So I’m wrong for real....
