SunKat's Burgers — Restaurant in Hà Nội

With Valhalla burger on one side and Chops on the other, Sunkat's Burgers has tough competition to live up to. Unfortunately, it doesn't quite cut the mustard.

I ordered the lunch combo of beef burger and choice of cheese, fries, and a drink for 135k.

The burger itself was of a good quality; nothing amazing, but not bad either. The bread bun had good flavour, wasn't overly sweet or anything like that, and was toasted so held the burger together well. I chose Emmenthal cheese and man, they put two huge slices of it in that bad boy so there was cheese for miles, which I see as a great thing. Also in the burger was onions, tomato, pickles etc. I chose garlic aioli as my sauce, the garlic flavour of which unfortunately didn't carry very far. So overall, the burger was good.

The fries were great. Very crispy and well salted.

However, the real issue here is the pricing. 135k is the lunch time deal, and even with that in mind it wasn't great value for money. One can go to Valhalla and get a burger of better quality meat for a much cheaper price with a similar amount of optional add-ons. On the other side of things, for not a massive boost in price you have the amazing quality, upmarket Chops just down the road.

Unfortunately, Sunkat's Burgers is outshone by its competition. 3/5, and I'd probably not come back.

I recently ordered a burger through Grab and asked that they remove specific ingredients because of my allergies. Unfortunately, they did not follow my request and sent a burger that I could not eat. I contacted them through Messenger to provide feedback and they offered to send me another sandwich. I had to return to work, so I could not receive the food. They then reimbursed me. I'm leaving this review because they seemed genuinely concerned about my experience and they did everything they could to make it right.

Thankfully, I've been to the restaurant a few times and the food has been wonderful. They use fresh ingredients and have vegan/vegetarian options (very good options too). It's one of my favorite burger places across the globe,...

Sunkats has potential and many repeat customers. Very good (not amazing) burgers, fries, salads etc.

Filthy habit of re-using straws gives me the creeps and a sneak peek at the dishwashing area is a bummer.

The food prep area looks reasonable if you don't look too closely.

Burger, small fries, garden salad (lettuce with a couple of cherry tomatoes thrown in over cucumber) and a soda arrives at the tune of $11.

Welcome to Hanoi! Great concept, great potential, goodish food served with grins and smiles in an unhygienic setting.

If you're new you'll think its great and if you're not you'll eat a tasty burger and pretend it's great coz there's no competition or really hygienic restaurant in Hanoi. If you find one gimme a call...
