Hot Stone Pho - Rice dishes — Restaurant in Hạ Long City

I’ve had a very pleasant experience dining in this restaurant as illustrated below:

Firstly, its location is highly accessible and easy to find in the google map. It has a clear and obvious sign to locate the restaurant. The restaurant was also very spacious with lots of seats in a covered open area.

Secondly, the customer service was brilliant. The workers are extremely patient and professional. They welcomed me warmly and friendly. They were all down for a chat and able to accommodate for customer needs.

Thirdly and most importantly, the food quality was amazing with a high variety of traditional Vietnamese food found in the menu. The price was also affordable which was very consumer-friendly especially to tourists. I would highly recommend trying the Mantis shrimp, and the claypot beef pho noodle soup. Moreover, the fresh juice such as the coconut, guava juice, red dragonfruit juice and passionfruit juice (not shown below) were exceptional and are must-tries.

First thing that stood out to me was that as Vietnamese we had to write our order on the paper ourselves, why aren't servers doing that?

We were group of 10 people and waited for the food over an hour. There were quite a few people in the restaurant but despite arriving earlier than other people some of them have left before we even got our food. On top of that when we asked about our order the server told us "không biết" which means in direct translation idk. Very unprofessional and rude since we were waiting 30 minutes already at that point.

We also ordered drinks that came last after we finished eating.

Overall very bizarre experience and I would not recommend anyone to come here. I came here only because of the reviews and even now I wonder how it is so...

The most amazing pho I have ever had! Got the specialty beef pho in the stone bowl… incredible. Comes out boiling and you add your noodles and meat to the broth. The sweetest family owns it and none speak much English, but the kindest woman came out when our food was ready and made sure we knew how to serve it and made sure we knew all the different spicy seasonings and which was the hottest option. We also got the fresh guava juice… the guavas were literally pulled out of a fridge in the front of the store to be freshly juiced in front of us. Best guava juice I’ve ever had. Best pho ever.
