9 Grains Bakery and Cafe — Restaurant in Hội An

I ordered delivery from a local service in Hoi An after my wife saw that they had Eggs Benedict, My wife LOVES Eggs Benedict and takes delight in comparing everyone's hollandaise sauce to mine.

Full disclosure, I studied under a master chef for two years with a focus on French cuisine and my hollandaise is considered by many to be the best, I use proper technique and I make it with duck eggs.

When we opened the packages from 9 grains (I had cooked my own meal so what they sent was just for my wife) we thought there had been an error in the order as there was more than enough food for two people, the portion was large enough that I re-checked the order to make sure we had not somehow doubled it, but they had not.

The Bacon was perfectly crisp and salty, taken to that perfect mahogany shade just before burning when the saltiness and crunch are perfect with no bitter tones and the fat has rendered almost completely.

The eggs were poached for the perfect amount of time, they were hot in the center but runny and unctuous, and the foil on which the eggs and bacon were perched was an amazingly well made whole grain bread, toasted to the point of being resistant to the sauce so it would not get soggy, but not over done.

The most Shocking thing about the dish was the Hollandaise... In most cases, people rush the sauce and it breaks, or they make it too far in advance of plating and it coagulates, or they over heat it and make a terrible mess of scrambled eggs or they skimp on the egg yolks and it is too runny.. there are a million ways to make a Hollandaise wrong but this bakery... I am amazed to say made the most rich, velvety, smooth, creamy, beautiful Hollandaise that I have ever seen outside of my own kitchen.

My boyfriend and I really love this place! We come here often to work, as we find the ambiance very relaxing. The coffee here is superb and so are the pastries. The croissants are exceptional and the brownies are absolutely sublime. I'm sure I'll have many more delicious pastries to discover. 9 Grains has this Twinings Rose Black Tea that I've never seen anywhere else; it's incredible.

Good choice for morning breakfast, great and best coffee, good space in and outside doors.

I have been here with my friends to have morning breakfast and coffee as our favorite. It turned out that was so amazing for coffee. I am a coffee lovers. I'll try coffee for most of places in Hoi An. And here delivers one the best of best coffee.

My wife really loved bread here, tasty and organic. One of her most delicous bread was with Grain 9.

We were really enjoyable talking, sharing things in the place. Music was good, light and feel really possitive. Its design is simple that what I liked too.
