Disappointing. Mom's is right on the main street running parallel to An Bang beach. I visited An Bang Beach last year while in Vietnam for 6 weeks. I am in Vietnam for 2 months this year, so I am not a newbie to the country, to the food or to An Bang. I am not a regular "tourist" visiting the beach while in Hoi An for a couple of days. The reviews were good so I stopped by Mom's for lunch. Asked what was in the bánh xèo, or vietnamese pancake in english, and the Madame said shrimp and pork. What I got was mostly bean sprouts. I asked Madame where is the shrimp and she opened up the pancake to point at a tiny piece of shrimp, explaining that they chop up real small. I replied that the banh xeo certainly did not look like the picture in the menu. There were very few tiny pieces of shrimp, and not much pork either. As well there were not enough pieces of rice paper to wrap around the pancake, the customary way of eating banh xeo. So was it simply a bad day for Moms or was I just "another tourist" who doesn't know any better? Total cost for banh xeo and tea was 85,000 dong. I'm not sure it was worth it. Sorry Mom!

We stopped by here randomly on our way to the beach. Our waitress was very nice. It is a small family restaurant. We ordered the deep fried squid, wonton and sweet and sour pork stir fry. Food was delicious and the price was great as well. We left our scooter at their place while we walked on the beach. I was so hungry I forgot to take a picture of the stir fry. Would definitely eat here again.

Just back from the beach is the delightful Mom's Kitchen Far from home cooking (IMO) this is a great family owned small restaurant. The owner is very attentive, and the food is delicious. A great selection of local food and a pizza list at the back. Reasonably priced drinks and food make this a winner.

This place is right next door to my homestay so It was the natural place for me to head for a nice breakfast. I was pleased to see that they had bacon and eggs (plural)on the menu so thats what I ordered.I asked for my eggs over easy and my bacon crisp When it arrived there was only one egg with a broken yolk and the bacon was limp. I asked for butter and jam for my bread and they brought some right away with no mention of there being an extra charge. When my bill arrived they had charged me 20 dong extra for the butter and jam… to me butter and jam are like mayonaise, ketchup or hot sauce… condiments which are offered without extra charge. I paid my bill and left but wont be back! While Im happy to pay the posted price I deplore being nickle and dimed… its not so much about the money I just dont like being taken...

Stopped by here one morning and found this little gem. It lies in this little road when you walk towards an bang beach. Mom and daughter team were so warm and welcoming and provided us with a wonderful hearty meal. Soon after we dined there, it was pouring rain and they were kind enough to lend us an umbrella and gave us rain jackets so we could get back to our hotel nearby. Their prices were so reasonable compared to other restaurants around the vicinity. If you ever passed by this place on your way to an bang beach make sure you stop by this place. You won't be disappointed. Cảm ơn cô và chị được cho một...
