"An Unforgettable Culinary Oasis: Hum Garden - Where Every Bite is a Discovery"
Last night, I had the sheer pleasure of dining at Hum Garden Restaurant, and it was an experience beyond words. Nestled in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City, this pure vegetarian oasis is a testament to culinary excellence and the art of hospitality.
From the moment we stepped in, we were enveloped in a nature-friendly ambiance that set the stage for the extraordinary dining experience that followed. The menu was a marvel, offering an incredible variety of choices that seemed to cater to every palate with meticulous attention to detail. What truly set Hum Garden apart was how the food presented in the menu photos was an exact match to what was served on our table - a rarity that speaks volumes about their commitment to authenticity and quality.
The flavors, aroma, and plating of each dish were nothing short of sensational. Using only the freshest ingredients, every bite was a journey through exquisite taste and textures. The cutlery and plating added another layer of elegance to the dining experience, complementing the food’s natural beauty and the restaurant’s ethos of sustainability.
Special mention must be made of our host, Trang Dang, whose service was impeccable. Friendly and intuitive, Trang went above and beyond to ensure our evening was memorable. Her ability to suggest flavors that perfectly matched our profiles was impressive, and her anticipation of our needs without us having to ask made us feel truly valued and cared for.

Read moreReview on 25/10/2020. It is the second time we came here. A nice small garden in Thao Dien. Interesting setting that several restaurants for different cuisine are placed together sharing the same garden. Impressive with the big trees. Food are yummy though not cheap. There are reasons why I choose not to give 5 stars. Staff members are of different levels. Some are good and some are really not qualified, which we both had. My last experience having vegies at Hum for lunch was good. The waitress did a good job but today's experience coming at 9.30am is terrible. One, we came in from Chill Corner side and asked whether there is food. She told me that no food until 10am. My husband is Vietnamese so we asked có đồ ăn không. Obviously we were asking about breakfast. We ordered only coffee and tea. At 9.46 she gave us a menu, which is for lunch, so my husband asked again whether they have breakfast then she said yes and breakfast is on Spice Bistro side. Why couldn't she tell us in the first place like "breakfast is not served here and lunch is served after 10am". My husband is Vietnamese so there is no language barier. I seriously doubt whether she was trained. Next, a more terrible thing is until 10am I didn't get my coffee, so we asked her to check. At 10:04, I got my coffee. What had happened? I guess everyone knows now. Please train your staff members and do performance review!!!
BTW, too many mosquitoes in the toilet! I was too scared to...
Read moreMy family came to visit from overseas, they love Vegetarian foods. From reading the online reviews, we selected to try Hum. This review is not about the food. The review is for how they handle the issue of food allergy. For those who understands peanut allergy, it could be life threatening. The food here was good, but not at the level of U Dam in Hanoi. Before we placed our order, we have informed the waitress of our nephew’s peanut allergy multiple times. The restaurant has assured us that they will be very careful.
After 30 seconds consuming the food, my nephew started to cough and threw up. We knew it was not a good situation and asked for the bill (manager canceled our bill) and checked into the hospital quickly. After a night in the emergency room and 5M VND bill later fortunately, my nephew was okay. To their credit, the manager on duty did call us the next day to apologize. This review is for the restaurant to take food allergy seriously and to prevent unfortunate incidents like this ever happen again.
Edited 5-August-2025: The restaurant manager reached out to me about 10 days ago to offer an apology again and offered to pay for the hospital bill (which we accepted). She also invited us back for dinner if my family came to visit next time. I appreciate their level of customer service and effort to make the situation right, which is...
