Edit 2 (bc i cannot reply to the restaurant's reply lol): The Deck has addressed the situation promptly and proceeded the refund after 1 day. I appreciate that. Tbh, we were talking with our friends and recommending them The Deck while we sat at the bar, and we realized there was something wrong with the bills lol. Anway, the service, food and drinks in the restaurant deserve the 5 stars, we really appreciate the girl who took care of my table and made our anniversary date memorable.
I will edit the rating as 3 to 4.
Edit: we suspended the transparency of The Deck. We got 2 bills wrong: 1 for the restaurant and 1 for the bar.
we realized that the restaurant overcharged us for the set menu (2.5mil for 2 sets, 1 mil 150 / set, vat not included). Later, they agreed to refund the gap and explained that the price of the set was wrong on the system. We were so surprised, did it happen only to us tonight? Or how many customers they overcharged because the customers didn’t notice? We didn’t notice when we paid as well and only realized the gap when we relaxed in the bar.
AND they overcharged us AGAIN when we were about to pay for the drinks at the bar. They added the drinks that we didn’t order. They added the crisps (althout it’s free on the bill) even though they didn’t serve ??
It was so difficult for us to waive for the staff at the bar as well. No one noticed us, totally destroyed the good experience we had in the restaurant. My original review: We ordered Tết’s chef table, and it turned out to be a very good dining option. The portion was enough for 2 people (1 male, 1 female). High standard of service, high quality of food and drinks. Staff was thoughtful and supportive, they took care of us well. There was music but not too loud 👍 we enjoyed our dinner and the atmosphere...
Read moreThe Deck is already a well-known spot in the Thao Dien area, and for good reason. Its biggest draw is the riverside view paired with a spacious, airy atmosphere. If you’re someone who prioritizes ambiance, this place is worth considering. In terms of vibe, it reminds me a bit of Lan Anh Village in D2.
What I like about The Deck is that it never feels overly crowded during my visits — it’s just the right amount of busy. That said, I’d recommend booking in advance, especially if you want a table close to the river. Those tables are the best, offering a cool breeze and a nice, open view. If you visit around late afternoon, the sunset makes the experience even better.
They have different menus for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. For dinner, there’s both an à la carte menu and a set menu, but note that the set menu is only available if you order at least 2 portions. If just 1 person wants the set menu while others go for à la carte, it won’t be allowed — something to keep in mind when planning your meal.
The pricing here is on the higher side, usually ranging from 700,000 to 1,000,000 VND per person depending on what you order. The service is a highlight — their staffs are professional, and many of them are older compared to other restaurants in the area. There’s also a mix of local and foreign staff, which adds a nice touch. The space itself is beautiful, making it perfect for photos.
As for the food, the portions are decent, but the taste isn’t particularly outstanding. I’d rate it somewhere between 6 and 7 out of 10. They have a good selection of wine as well, starting from around 300,000 VND per glass.
Overall, this is a solid choice if you’re after a relaxing, scenic spot with good service and a lovely atmosphere. I’d personally...
Read moreI never like posting in the Google review but I had to this time. First of all, I have to explain that I was planning to give an unforgettable birthday experience to my wife. So I have arranged the boat experience. This is where my mistake is. I shouldn't have arrange the boat experience. The restaurant just told me Tan Cang pier and I had to get to there by taxi. Taxi got me to the wrong Tan Cang pier every each time. After the third taxi ride, I gave up because even the taxi driver talked to the receptionist in the restaurant still not getting me to the right pier. So in the end I took the taxi all the way to the restaurant instead. Save all the trouble which has wasted my 2 hours for it. This useless restaurant is not helpful at all. As for the food, it was nothing to be amazed. Dull, boring and uninteresting. As for the birthday cake which I bought from them, a black forest cake which is full of whipped cream and nothing else. Seems like this cake is meant to throw at someone. As for the ambiance, it is an open area and just after a heavy rain but we were sweating having our dinner. There is lack of airflow in the restaurant. Horrible experience nonetheless. I felt so sorry for my wife who have to walk around with her high heels for the whole 2 hours. So must be guessing what the restaurant has done for me, well...they gave me 50% off from the boat experience even we didn't take the boat. Yes, and that's all. So don't be bother with the high reviews here. It is fictional. I was cheated by the high review here too and paid over 250usd...
