KADOHACHI: A Disappointing Yakitori Experience. After hearing mixed reviews about Kadohachi's yakitori, I decided to give this local spot a chance. Unfortunately, what should have been a simple, satisfying meal turned into an exercise in patience and lowered expectations. The yakitori selection was puzzling from the start. We ordered what we assumed would be a traditional assortment, but received three chicken meat skewers, one chicken skin, and surprisingly, one fish skewer drizzled with teriyaki sauce. The fish felt completely out of place in a yakitori order and lacked the smoky, grilled flavor you'd expect from properly prepared kushiyaki. The chicken pieces were overcooked and dry, while the skin skewer arrived lukewarm and chewy rather than crispy. Service proved equally frustrating. The kitchen moved at a glacial pace, with significant delays between each dish arriving at our table. When we politely mentioned the slow service to our waitress, she seemed genuinely unsure how to respond or address our concerns, offering only an awkward smile and not even a vague "I'll check on that" before disappearing for another extended period. The food itself hovered somewhere in mediocre territory. Nothing was inedible, but nothing approached the quality you'd find at even average yakitori establishments elsewhere in the city. The teriyaki sauce was overly sweet and masked rather than complemented the proteins, while the grilling technique left much to be desired. For a cuisine that relies heavily on timing, technique, and services, Kadohachi misses the mark on all fronts. With so many excellent yakitori options available in town, it's hard to recommend this particular establishment unless you're simply looking for the closest option rather than...
Read moreMy family and I had quite a big appetite so we ordered many things, they were all delicious and of exceptional quality.
The food came out very quickly and looks freshly made, the kitchen is very efficient. Staff members are friendly and respectful but not too overwhelming.
They also gave us free tea, that is tinted green, feels refreshing and has a slight sweet aftertaste and aroma of rice.
The seafoods are very fresh, beautifully colored. The rice is done right. The hot dishes are well seasoned and smells divine. The takoyaki honestly exploded in flavors in your mouth, they’re also more bite sized than usual.
The prices are reasonable for the quality and only a tad more expensive than Tokyo Deli
