Read moreI just had dinner here with family and was so impressed that I had to write a good word. First and foremost, service was 6 stars out of 5. This was hands down one of the best service I have ever experienced - on par with Michelin-Star restaurants. Staff were all smile, courteous and attentive without being intrusive. They did all sorts of small things that make you want to come back e.g. apologise that the food was slow (it wasn't) and that we had to wait another 5 minutes for the pizza (it came out in 3) and when we were leaving, each staff seeing us (5-6 of them) all said thanks. The extra star was for honesty. A waiter came to apologize to us that they messed up one of our deserts (the panna cotta didn't set) before even serving the dish to our table! They even offered us a complimentary alternative to apologize. Some Michelin-Star restaurants actually could learn a thing or two from them. Atmosphere was also conversation-friendly but we went on a weekday so there wasn't really a crowd. Now about the food. The crab spaghetti and squid ink risotto were al dente. I repeat: AL DENTE. Italian food aficionados will rejoice. Starters and deserts were good albeit not spectacular. If I really have to nitpick, I would prefer a bit more squidiness in the risotto but it's more personal preference. Half-and-half pizza was great for sharing. Serving size was appropriate (i.e. small for Americans / Australians) - 4 people sharing 2 starters, 2 pastas, 1 pizza, 2 deserts were all full but not unpleasantly so. One thing to note is the sparkling wine was sweeter than the typically dry proseco found in Italian restaurants. It even had a tropical finish (dragonfruit / guava).
