I am sorry to say this but this was the worst dining experience I have had in Vietnam in 3 months travelling. I ate in many other places in Phu Quoc as well and I just find Camia less than average place altought the prices are like at a 5star restaurant. We paid the TOP dollar for ZERO servoce and tasteless food.. Seafood pizza was so blunt Salmon salad was sole lettuce and 3 tiny pcs of fish, no dressing (with all due respect a kindergarten child could make better) Most disappointing was the Burrata Parma ham salad for top dollar (where was the parma ham tjat u pay all the money for???) Staff in chaos due to rain, disorganised, rude, unskilled, running around like headless chickens and no service.. Ambiance so trashy!! Extremely loud music (backstreet boys - are you serious guys?) If you want to appear as an upscale venue play adequate music, please. Honestly, this place only has good reviews from the rich Chinese who may be the main customers..
So to sum up - the restaurant seems good for the Chinese who want to spend the whole evening taking photos for instagram amd dont mind loud tasteless music and average food as they leabe it all on the tables anyway and go yo another place. We paid 100AUD for a dinner for two people (just food). For this money we eat in Australia pretty well on the Gold Coast with ocean views, much better food, ambiance and service.. absolutely unreasonable!!! Sorry guys, really...
Read moreWe went to this restaurant with high expectations, but unfortunately, the experience left much to be desired. From the moment we entered, the service was unfriendly. The person who greeted us escorted us to a table inside as apparently they had no space for an outside table. There were 2 free options, we asked for the table with a better view and the waitress said no. The reasoning being the other table was reserved for later (had no reserved sign on). Half an hour later we were told we could sit there. Just strange we could not sit where we wanted to start with.
The service was extremely slow. The drinks (a beer and a coconut water) took 30 minutes to arrive, which is unjustifiable. The food took 1 hour and 15 minutes, and to make matters worse, my plate arrived long before my partner's. I had to ask about her food after finishing mine, and it wasn't served until 10 minutes later. It was a dish that clearly didn't take that long to prepare.
One of the waitresses, noticing our displeasure, offered us two ice creams as a courtesy of the restaurant, which we appreciated. However, when it was time to pay, we were unpleasantly surprised to find that the ice cream had been charged to our bill. We had to complain to have it removed.
In short: poor organization, poor service, slow service, and the food doesn't live up to the price. I wouldn't recommend...
Read moreI visited Camia restaurant for dinner, which was my first time after many previous visits at Pizza Camia Duong Dong, and I had to prepay for the reservation and also pay a 10% Tet holiday surcharge. The food was decent, but considering the price of the restaurant, it didn’t quite meet expectations. The restaurant was quite busy that evening, but they still managed to serve our dishes on time, so no complaints there. Everything was fine until we were about to leave. We asked a female staff member to assist us by driving us to the gate, but she refused. When I asked again, she said there was only one seat available and couldn’t take us. I asked her why, and she said the car was full, even though there was only one person in it. She kept saying she was waiting for her friend and wouldn’t drive us to the gate. As a result, we had to walk up a steep 300m hill after a full meal, and my girlfriend ended up feeling unwell after that. I was extremely disappointed by the attitude of the staff member, who not only refused to help but offered no alternative solutions or support. I’ve dined at many restaurants in Phu Quoc, and I’ve never encountered such poor customer service. I won’t be coming...
