Nhà Hàng Ngon Nha Trang — Restaurant in Nha Trang City

Yesterday we had dinner with the family of five at the Ngon Restaurant, in Nha Trang Gold Coast Mall, Hall 6.

The day before, my wife and I went to a small test dinner. Since we were satisfied, we made a reservation for the next day. We had it confirmed that ribeye steaks, beef carpaccio and BBQ salmon could be offered the next day.

What we then experienced is unbelievable. This was the most negative restaurant experience in 10 years of Nha Trang. Now we understand why we were almost the only guests in the beautiful, huge restaurant. It started with taking forever until we got our drinks. Things were even worse with the starters. After an hour the first one was on the table. Not everything at the same time as we had specially ordered.

At the end came the so-called carpaccio, which was indescribable. The meat was small, indefinable shreds. It was around arugula salad. No parmesan cheese, which is an essential part of a carpaccio. Instead there was a fatty goo called foie gras. The absolute “highlight” were the two ribeye steaks, which were served after another hour. Lukewarm, hard and chewy, I've never had meat like this on my plate before. You could barely cut it, let alone eat it.

My grandson's beef pizza was also just greasy and disgusting. My wife and daughter's BBQ salmon alone were ok.

The waiter, who appeared after a long time, apologized because there were so many guests in the Sky Lounge. But that was also a lie, as we discovered shortly afterwards. We live directly above the Sky Lounge and can see every guest Although we didn't have to pay for the two ribeye steaks, the bill still came to 3.3 million VND. Money that could have been used very well elsewhere. We feel sorry for the owners of the international restaurant chain Ngon. The restaurant in Berlin Germany is always full and gets very good reviews. Here in Nha Trang the Ngon restaurant and the Sky Lounge are unfortunately doomed.

We had the NGON in Saigon and when we were there, we saw that they also have a location in Nha trang so we decided to come here as we were already planning on coming to Nha trang when we were going up the elevator to the restaurant it stopped between two levels and we got stuck for a little bit of time so we’re a little bit worried about that but luckily once we made it to the sixth floor and talked to a lady whose name was Son Ny She was very kind and also made us feel safe to go back in the elevator again and the assured that it would not break again. And she even came in the elevator with us to go make sure we felt safe so that was a very nice thing to start our experience at this restaurant now when we made it to the rooftop patio, it was very beautiful view. We had the pool at the view of the outside. The food was very delicious and tasted exactly like the NGON in Saigon and that was one of her favourite restaurants so we were very pleased to have that once again in Nha trang I recommend getting the banh xeo and the banh khot as well as the fresh coconuts were nicely chilled and especially the spring rolls as well. This was a very delicious meal and the cereal outside was very nice as well. It was also kind of cool but kind of weird that there is barely anyone there as there was a maximum of like three people eating, including us and when we first got there there was no one except for us, but I liked how it’s peaceful and if you want a nice dinner outside, that’s quiet and peaceful. I recommend coming here the decorations were artificial and they had artificial turf all around, but it still was nice, but just be mindful that it is not all beautifully natural will come back here when I am back...

I happened to stay in the condo at this location, and my room has a direct view of the area. I decided to explore, and I must say, I love the atmosphere and vibe here. The lounge areas are comfortable and nicely decorated with vibrant colors. The whole place has a very Instagram-worthy appeal, perfect for those who love to share on social media. The food and cocktails are overall very good, and there's a partial view of the beach, which is nice. The staff is friendly and attentive. The only downside is that they charge extra to use the pool and don't provide towels for the lounge if you use the pool. Besides that, it's a lovely place, although the price is on the...
