Trang An 89 Restaurant — Restaurant in Ninh Bình Province

My partner and I ate here at lunch time and both got food poisoning. We had eaten breakfast much earlier in the day and this was the only other food we had so I can most guarantee it was from here, after about 1 hour from eating the symptoms came on and got progressively worse. My partners was minor but mine was quite extreme, exploding out of both ends, chills and shakes, a crazy fever, headache and brain fog. I could barely muster the strength to scooter back to our hotel and when I finally did I was bed ridden for the entire night. This spot is all about the view! We drove by here several times and eventually just had to sit down and enjoy the special scenery.

It’s located along a country road, with seating right at the edge of a body of water. Bug pink lotus loom and in the distance are beautiful hills. So worth enjoying the beauty of it all.

We ordered a falafel salad. The vegetables were excellent - fresh and flavourful. The pumpkin was socially tasty! The falafel itself was not very good. It had a strange texture and none of the flavours a falafel should. I’m sure their Vietnamese dishes are excellent.

Best food we had in Ninh Binh!

For some reason all the restaurants in this area seem to have almost exactly the same menu - all the noodle dishes are instant noodles. It seems this restaurant might be victim to false reviews from rival businesses due to it being more popular than other places. We ate at the highest rated restaurants in the area and the food wasn’t as good as here. Food arrived quickly and everyone was eating within 15 minutes. Some staff have limited English but are polite and you can use google translate to communicate if needed. The prices may be very slightly higher but only by a negligible amount. Lovely view of the...
