Very good ! It's totally local place , it doesn't seem like the restaurant appearance from outside looks like a big palace :) When I get in I realized I chose well, as I could only see locals . After all, I visited two times for the dinner as their food was amazing. The dish we took was hot pot with local fish, and grilled fish with some salad and rice paper. Both were so good, if you feel like more soup go with hotpot And feel like more light salad go with the grilled fish dish
The owner of the shop she is really passionate about her food and culture. She is able to speak english and she would be happy to help you if you have question about the food.

Read moreThis is a place for the locals and for large groups. Prices are high as portions are large and aimed at large groups. Food is authentically Vietnamese and serve dishes such as soft shell turtle, frog, and locally caught perch. We couldn’t find the entrance at first until we saw a local girl and asked where the place was. We were led through a drive and then to the back of a home which was a terraced balcony with tables. This venue is one where you order to take away or come and visit as a large group but there is only one tidy and done up sitting area, everything else is home-like or under construction. We stupidly ordered a dish each without realising how big the dishes were. The frog was deep fried and was delicious, a bit like KFC chicken 🤣 and the grilled perch was perfectly cooked and served with rice paper and veg to make your own rolls. I saw other tables with the chicken which looked so juicy and delicious, as well...
Read moreWe had an amazing meal here during our stay in Ninh Binh. The straw grilled chicken was awesome, tender, and juicy with crispy skin. Stir fried morning glory was wonderful as well. Even the sticky rice was perfectly cooked and served with ground peanut and salt, which was just delicious with the chicken and greens. As a professional chef back home in america, I highly recommend visiting if you are staying in the area. It's in a sleepy little village outside of Ninh Binh town right on a riverbank. Also one of the most attentive restaurant staff I've encountered thus far during our stay in...
