I hate leaving negative reviews, but my experience at The Lucky Star was unacceptable. My friend and I ate here last night for dinner and we both ended up with severe food poisoning after ordering the burgers. The symptoms started just a few hours after our meal and included nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and abdominal pain that’s lasted at least 24 hours (we are still recovering).
While the staff was friendly and the ambiance was decent, none of that matters if the food isn’t safe to eat. Food safety should be a top priority for any restaurant, and clearly, something went very wrong in the kitchen.
I hope the restaurant takes this seriously and investigates the issue to ensure it doesn’t happen to anyone else. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning, and I can’t recommend this...
Read moreLucky Star Restaurant is an absolute gem! We loved everything about our visit, from the delicious food to the welcoming atmosphere. The burgers were juicy and flavourful, the cheese toast was the perfect choice of bread and the falafel burger was a standout, packed with fresh, vibrant flavours.
The restaurant itself is incredibly comfortable, making it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a meal. It was just a bike ride away from where we stayed, which added to the charm of the experience. The warm and inviting atmosphere, paired with the owner's friendliness and helpfulness, made us feel right at home.
We highly recommend Lucky Star Restaurant, it's a must-visit for anyone...
Read moreCame here for dinner after a long day of touring and walking - the food and drinks they served were perfect to get rid of all our exhaustion. The service was amazing! Very helpful and friendly staff who make an effort to ensure you get what you want. Our parents were back in the hotel, they even delivered the food to them in minutes. They have mastered the art of making burgers and pizzas and the gin and tonic is as refreshing as expensive cocktails in other cities. Would recommend to all tourists...
