Undeniably Fresh Seafood — But CASH ONLY & Sanitation Concerns
The seafood here is exceptional — clams, lobster, fish, and mantis shrimp are incredibly fresh and full of umami, cooked perfectly. However, CRITICAL NOTE: THEY ARE CASH ONLY. This is especially inconvenient given the remote location, so arrive prepared. Beyond payment, the experience was impacted by sanitation issues: a small centipede crawled into my sauce during the meal, and staff disposed of it (and likely other waste) by tossing it into the ocean off the deck. At low tide, this attracts flies near the shore, and we noticed more tabletop insects than at comparable outdoor spots. The restaurant had a nice view to the ocean. Seafood was fresh. The most famous dish of the village was flower crabs. Steamed veggies with kho quẹt sauce (sauce from pork belly and dried shrimp) is a great dish. My kids don't really like steamed veggies but did ask for more after trying.
