I went here for a late lunch with my Vietnamese girlfriend on a Monday. The menu is extensive, yet there is no display of fresh seafood which should have been a red flag. We ordered around 5 dishes and specifically asked the waiter not to add any sugar to the dishes. However, all the dishes we ordered were very sweet!! The mussels in tamarind sauce was particularly sweet, I've had ice creams that were less sweet than this mess! The mantis prawns, besides being too sweet, had a strange flakey or brittle texture, and they were tasteless. They were clearly frozen. The scallops were tiny and tasteless. Again, clearly frozen. They were covered in way too much onion and fish sauce. The barbequed oysters with cheese didn't taste barbequed at all! They tasted like they were pre cooked and warmed slightly when serving. In fact the cheese on top wasn't melted but a solid piece of cheese. The most offensive dish though was the barbequed octopus. This was heavily charred and dry. It was so dry that the octopus developed a brown colour and a leathery texture. It was very unpleasant to eat so we didn't eat more than 2 or 3 pieces. When asking for the bill we pointed to the still full plate of octopus and asked the waiter whether it was cooked to order or not. He unashamedly answered that it was pre-cooked in the morning. I was gobsmacked that he would admit to it so blatantly. He didn't offer an apology or ask if we wanted to replace the dish. He just walked off to get the bill. I have never encountered such an indifferent member of staff. His attitude made me furious. When the bill came the charge for the inedible octopus was there. I couldn't believe they had the nerve to charge me for it. I didn't pursue the issue further due to the language barrier as my girlfriend had to act as a translator. I was immediately concerned when dishes started coming out of the kitchen literally 2 minutes after ordering. This was by far the worst restaurant I've been to in Vietnam after living here for 3 years. Besides the frozen and over sweetened seafood, the staff are incompetent and should not work in any service related job. They clearly lack the people skills and have no idea about catering. Both my girlfriend and I had some stomach pains after this meal. Nothing too serious, yet bothering enough to urge me to warm you all about this fraudulent sad excuse of...
Read moreMe and my Family just had Dinner at this Restaurant and i have to say that is was very disappointing as we seen a lot of reviews on TikTok.
First of all the service was the worst so far experienced in vùng tàu ( i speak the local language ) The staff was bored and have a don’t care attitude.
The food was below average and generally it seems the seafood they had wasn’t fresh at all, we ordered grilled oyster with cheese they served it cold and the cheese sauce was sour! Instead of apologizing the staff decided to keep silent and say nothing about this.
Overall 2/5 stars Main reason unfriendly staff and seafood not fresh at all.
Personally I wouldn’t recommend this...
