Cariban coffee and homestay.
This is a popular place for foreigners. The cafe feels spacious and quiet. There are high chairs or a sofa for you to sit, though i don’t like those high chairs much. They seem uncomfy and very unwelcoming when you first visit this place. I like their sofa better, you can sit and work comfortably. However, the tables are arranged too close to each other. The space can fit a dozen or so customers, which means you’ll have to sit next to some strangers on crowded days. I heard that there is a second floor but is only opened when the ground floor is full. The special thing about this place is you can have the coffee made in different ways, from the espresso to V60, chemex, cold brew, French press, etc. The coffee, though passionately introduced to us by the owner, tastes normal. It is the same as most places, with a little bit of sourness when the coffee first hit your tongue. The price is a bit more expensive (maybe because the coffee beans were imported from further away), around 50-70.000 vnd. Overall, this is a nice place to try out coffee in a new way, cold brew anyone? It would be an exciting new experience for coffee lover. For myself, I’m looking for more than just coffee: a welcoming, friendly place to visit with my friends, so sorry, this is not the...
Read moreThe rudest shop owner and the most disrespectful service (especially, this shop has a discrimination between Vietnamese and foreigners) (English below) Ông chủ rất kỳ thị người Việt và thái độ, phục vụ rất tệ với khách hàng (dù ảnh là người Việt nha mng) Nếu muốn bị dạy đời và bị khinh thường thì hãy tới đây, còn ko thì nên né. He has a very bad attitude for Vietnamese and keep complaining just because we ordered ice coffee drinks (he kept saying Vietnamese get sick a lot because we drink ice too much and he talked very very loud). Honestly, I dont do to the coffee shop to get taught! He kept saying 5 or 6 times that he don't serve other drinks than coffee because his shop is very busy (although the menu show many drinks), I sit there for about an hour and there just 3 customer visited 😅 He kept teaching his customer of how to drink the coffee. Once we just finished our order, he talk very loud with bad attitude that we have to pay right away. His attitude made us feel like he thought we were not deserved to drink there and don't have money...
Read moreMe and my little brother came across this place and thought it looked cozy enough. I ordered a Ca Phe Sua Da and my brother ordered a Coco. The owner instantly took offense to my brother ordering a Coco as he proceeds to ignore us and told us to wait. After 10 minutes we started to set up our computer so we can work but as time goes by it is obvious that owner did not want to acknowledge us. I asked him for the Wifi password which he responded with "You have to pay first, I do not know your intentions of coming in here." I was both confused and frustrated at this point. I paid for the drinks and proceeded to wait 15 more minutes as he ignored us further and refused to make our drinks. When it was time for him to make our drinks, he mocked us and said "Are you guys even old enough to even drink coffee." That was the last straw. I do not know what we did to offend the owner. We do not recommend anyone trying this place. The worst and rudest customer service I've ever experience in an otherwise beautiful city...
