I recently had the pleasure of dining at Mugg & Bean restaurant located in Manda Hill, and I must say it was an absolutely delightful experience from start to finish. Everything about my visit, from the food to the service, left me with a smile on my face and a satisfied appetite.

Finally got to visit the new(and improved) mugg and bean at Manda Hill. After hearing that they opened again, I was expecting it to be as small as before with the same menu and atmosphere but it seems they put in a lot of effort to improve a lot of things including the menu which had so many more options available than they did before. The atmosphere was calm and inviting. It was not too loud and it was definitely clean. The staff made sure that it was spotless even when some tables were empty, it looked exactly how it would look if they just opened in the morning and that was something that impressed me. They have a bar section now, which is an addition that I was not expecting but it seems to be working for them as the bar area was not loud either. They played soft jazz music and the people there seemed to be enjoying their drinks as well(the bar closes at 22 with the rest of the restaurant). The food was excellent! I was happy to hear that they have no time limit on when they serve their breakfast options from the menu, it can be served at any time of the day. I had the Zambian benedict which was sweet and savoury and it made for a good first meal of the day(slightly pricey though). For my sweet tooth, I had some blueberry cheesecake, which just melted in the mouth. It was such a satisfying meal. The service was exceptional too. My waiter, Elvis, was efficient and helpful from the minute I walked in. He did not let me wait long for anything and made sure to be nearby in case I needed anything else. I was appreciative of the fact that he knew the menu well enough and advised on the many options that were available for me to try out. A second visit is necessary, this time to see their bar area and have a better...

We visit Mugg & Bean Manda Hill on Saturday after 13h00...the shop wasn't busy with lots of waitresses. We sit down and wait for more than 20 minutes for a waiter to come and take orders...they responded after we waive a waiter down. We order hot chocolate and rump steak and a salad. The hot chocolate was warm not hot. The rump steak was thin and between tough and tender. My steak had sinew in which was so bad I couldn't chew it. The salad was not fresh and no salad dressing....it was tasteless. The only item on the plate that was ok was the onion rings. Come to pay the bill,we waited so long I eventually stand up and went to the payment station....and pay. The bill came to K680....of which the rump steak was K280 each....not cheap....expensive. My overall rating is 3/10 and won't support...
