This store is a creative haven that's committed to sustainability. From eco-friendly crafting supplies to ethically sourced materials for building projects, you'll find everything you need to express your creativity while minimizing your environmental impact. I love the concept of a store that not only offers a wide variety of products but also prioritizes responsible sourcing and sustainable practices. It's a place where you can unleash your imagination without feeling guilty about your carbon footprint. Whether you're a seasoned crafter or just starting to explore your creative side, this store is a must-visit for anyone who values both creativity and environmental consciousness.

This is such an amazing city resource! They have a constantly rotating selection of treasures to dig through! They have tons of vintage linens and photos, as well as a wide selection of crafting supplies of every kind. This is definitely the place to come for yarn, knitting needles, and fabric! There's an entire shelf of bins full of bags for 50¢! I saw tons of beading looms, and several quilting frames today! Be sure to check out the jewelry! They also have an online store where you can order some of the nicer items they get in! Be aware that item pickup is in-store, no shipping! Be sure to check out the community activities that they host!

This place is a great concept and probably would be very useful for people who live nearby. But as an out of state visitor, I specifically was looking for nicer fabrics for making clothes, and the selection for that kind of fabric was mostly nonexistent. It’s mostly quilted cotton, fleeces and upholstery fabrics. They had a really great selection of scraps if you’re looking for cheap ways to quilt. But I create enough of my own scraps, I did not need anymore. I was also looking for high-quality yarns, which I found a few wool pieces but most were acrylic. I know this is all dependent on the donations so the variation probably changes wildly overtime but today it was kind of disappointing paying for a Lyft to get there from downtown Austin. I have been to many craft and creative reuse stores in many cities (mostly in CA) and this one was probably my least favorite.

What an amazing awesome place. I went to donate some items but decided to take a look around as well, I was not disappointed. If you can't find something to do in this store you have issues. They have: note cards, books, records, tiling items, woodworking, painting, candles, sewing, embroidery, latch hooking, journals, even old photographs and slides so that if you don't know how to have fun you can see pictures of other people having fun. Even with all of that I'm sure I missed a few categories! If you're moping that you have nothing to do, go visit and you will find something.

Let's just call this what it is . . . Crafters Paradise! What ever your medium ACR will have stuff for you, and cheap too. It's all donation based and they do an amazing job keeping it all organized. The staff is super friendly, they do fun classes all the time and they even host Art fairs! You never know what you'll find at Austin Creative Reuse, but you'll always have fun. If you're donating, make sure to check what they're accepting because it varies by the current need. If you haven't checked it out yet, you'll want to soon!
