Tamales y Antojitos Veracruz — Restaurant in Austin

Discovered this little truck on Nextdoor. Decided to give it a shot on a whim. When we arrived, I was happy with the amount of available parking. We ordered mini tacos de asada, empananda de pollo, flauteas de pollo, birria tacos (no cheese), 1 tamale de masa, 2 horchatas, and 1 Agua piña.

The mini tacos were absolutely delicious, and the green and red sauce were ridiculously tasty. If you like spice, then these 2 add ons are a go-to for tacos. Full of flavor.

The empananda de pollo is big and juicy. Topped with cheese and lettuce. The green sauce pairs really well with it to give it a kick.

The flautas! The crunch, the juicyness. Greatness!

The tamale de masa was amazing. Has a perfect amount of spiciness to it.

I will gladly go back...

My family will be back! We loved the food. I highly recommend them. We enjoyed the tamales de masa, the tacos, tacos dorados and empanadas. Victor really went above and beyond you can tell they care about their customers. They welcome any honest critique and they try to make sure you are enjoying everything they serve. Can't wait...

I couldn’t even order a to-go order because of communication. I did my best with the words that I know in Spanish. But it would be really helpful if they would also make an effort to learn some of the basic words like bacon and sausage in English to assist...
