The market as a whole is great. I came to review Toetjes Dutch fusion street food. Ordered a burger (a ridiculous $16 - see picture) too small with hardly any filling and far too expensive!! Ordered a chai latte, too cold and too weak. The woman who served me was rude, flustered, and spacey..not knowing what I ordered a few seconds after I'd said it. This soured my family's experience of the markets - after having not been for years - came back to this!

After finishing that, my dissatisfied husband still wanted something to fill his grumbling belly so we went to 'The Spare room' stall where we were met with friendly smiling faces, awesome reasonable prices and a large delicious bacon and egg roll at a quarter of the price of the small burger at Toetjes! There is no need for greedy prices, even though this market is held in an affluent suburb where people may have a few more dollars to spare on breakfast, there is no need to abuse that..life is already expensive enough!

It'd be great if the companies selling at this market could realize that not everyone has expendable cash to just waste on whatever.. we came to get produce and a tasty breakfast. We will never waste any more money on Toetjes. We will, however, be spending again at The Spare Room because of their lovely attitude and...

This is a great fresh produce market. Many grow some excellent display vegetables and fruit. Some grower so good and popular there was a constant Que of 50 plus constantly flowing through their large marque and this was for organically grown vegetables. Apart from fruit and vegetables, there was large eatery serving food and coffee seating provided. Plus some small vans serving various food stuff for immediate for walking consumption. Car parking is available but competitive free for short stay or pay. Traffic is at a high rate of incoming and outgoing vehicles all morning for the period of my two visit that were of about 40 minutes each time. No parking fee payable if you had your ticket processed at a service point at start of your visit and stayed only hour(I think). The placement of the prestamped ticket if exciting before the time allowed no...

I used to attend this market regularly before moving interstate a few years ago. I’ve returned for a short stay and have visited this market twice since. It’s clear that the market’s popularity has overgrown and the waiting times for queues at popular stalls are far too long. Even if you arrive before 8:30 opening time, it’s now normal to wait 10-20 mins for the popular stalls. The pull of having ‘over 125 stalls all in one place’ isn’t as strong anymore when you have to dedicate an extra 1.5-2 hours just to do your basic weekly shopping. It detracts from your traditional farmer’s market experience where the environment should be more relaxed with the opportunity to talk to farmers without a stressful rush. What a pity as the produce and variety of stallholders are excellent, especially the emphasis on SA only produce being...

Who doesn't love the buzz of the wonderful Farmer's Market at the Showgrounds? Soooo many delicious sweet and savory treats and fabulous coffee - Mem's stall gets my vote as they use Mahalia BUT you will be happy with the other coffee stalls too. Today I tasted almost every cheese on offer LOL. Such a choice 😁😁 BD Paris Creek, Woodside Cheesewrights and Mt Alexandrina. Yumm. Freshly grown and picked veges and fruit with plenty og organic stalls. The proof is in the freshness and flavour. And of course, there's so many breakfast and foody stalls your mouth will be watering ... My favorite pic today though, was a beautiful purple cauliflower. Glorious.

Very nice and clean farmers market. There's so many food stalls, bakeries, cakes, drinks, etc in the indoor area. You can listen to music since there's a few ladies playing the violin. The outdoor area also has some stalls selling drinks, sourdough, honey, etc. There's a number of covered seating area for you to dine and have your breakfast or brunch. There's a few vegetable stalls, fruit stall and one stall selling fish. Many people at the farmers market but not to worry as there are plenty of parking spaces. I think the flower stall is the best seller since so many people bought beautiful flowers from them and the price is reasonable.
