Absolute worst dining experience my partner and I have ever had. If you love getting yelled at in front of a busy restaurant by who I can only assume is the owner, then maybe you'll enjoy this place. My partner has an allergy to onion so let the girl at the counter know when I order that the only thing we wanted on her tacos was the meat and tortilla. There was a small language barrier so completely understandable that maybe she misheard me and they came out with onion on them. Let the waitress know that we asked for them without anything but the meat so she took it back to the kitchen. Not even a minute later the owner barrels through the restaurant to come and yell at us about sending the food back. Basically yelling for everyone around us to hear that we should have told the girl who took our order that we didn't want onion (which we did). She then goes on to explain very loudly how we were wrong before being like 'whatever, I just threw all your food out so I guess I'll go get you more'. This was such a horrible experience for someone who already has anxiety about going out. She then yelled at us again if we wanted it or not and we were embarrassed and upset about the ordeal so we told her we didn't and she then runs off into the restaurant. At least she had the courtesy to come back and yell at us some more about it while everyone looked on and loudly telling us she will give us our money back. We are both hospitality professionals including owning a restaurant and the way we were treated was absolutely disgusting. I can understand that you may be busy but if you're going to talk to your customers like that then you better hang up the flag because it's not for you. As an extra note, we overheard her talking to her staff and absolutely no respect for...

Man, Que Onda!! We came, we ate, we drank, we laughed, we cried, and then rolled out of there very happy, ¡Que Buena Experencía!

Nos guestamos los Tequilas y los coćtels de Margaritas!!

Tried the House Made Corn-chips and Guacamole, absolutely beautiful! I enjoyed the idea for the Choriqueso yet it required a little sharper flavour, like more chilli, lime or cardamom.

We tried a heap of different dishes between our little group for mains; Taco de Carne Asada, fantastic, simple flavours yet awesome texture! Gabon’s Torta was unreal, great sized serving with nice full flavour of the meat, fried onions and fried beans. Really did love the Volcan de Asada, busy with flavour, colour, textures with a crisp hard fried tortilla shell. Ordered the Quesadilla with Queso Oaxaca, another with Pollo (chicken) and another with carnitas (pork), simple dishes that are filling and different to the other plates. The other plate we ordered was the Taco Loco, a great mix for flavours, textures and colours. Make sure to ask Gabiel, el jefe, for some of the special house made chilli sauces to enjoy either for dipping or spooning all over the dishes!

Looking forward to coming again and trying it all again!!

Would recommend making the restaurant a little bit cozier, dim the lights or find a way to dull their intensity, add a sound system so the music is better spread through the venue yet while keeping the noise less.

¡¡Muchas Gracias...

1000% don’t recommend. we specified when ordering that we wanted 5 plain tacos with only meat, no toppings (i have allergies.. sue me). our order was either put through wrong or made wrong, either way it when it came out we mentioned the mistake and apologised because we know how annoying that is. the waitress took the food back to the kitchen, we were then met with an irate manager/owner who berated us like children and yelled that we did not read the menu or specify the changes when ordering. she continued to screech and cause a scene even when we said it’s fine we will still eat what was made (us trying not to cause more of a scene). after all the the fuss, we decided to ask for a refund. I felt so uncomfortable that I was physically shaking because of how this woman treated us. we eventually got a refund but not until after being screamed at and embarrassed in front of the entire restaurant one more time. I have genuinely never experienced this kind of behaviour by a restaurant before. I am a restaurant manager my self, so I definitely understand being busy and then having food be sent back can be annoying, however I really think this minor issue could have been handled with grace and respect. we only wanted to...

Honestly, the most authentic Mexican food I've had in my life (though I'm probably not the best to judge since I've never been to Mexico 😅) We observed many Spanish speakers eating at the restaurant, so it must be pretty authentic! But we loved everything that we've eaten here on our two visits! Our favourites include the Taco Popeyes (Fish), the Tacos Locos (Chorizo), Gabo's Torta (Pita bread with steak, onions and cheese), and the TRES LECHES (we had one serving each - we were given a surprise extra mixed milk too! ) 😋 Best part of the meal is the CHILLI sauce, homemade and SO GOODDDDD! 😍😍😍 Thank you for accommodating us on a busy Saturday night, even though we had no booking and it was a full house! Do make a reservation if you're coming down, if not you might be rejected! Please be understanding to the owners, cause the restaurant is really small and they're super busy! 10/10, We will be back again soon 😊❤️

This was absolutely top notch. I like a lot of Mexican food but this was a level above. It’s a smaller restaurant but it feels home-ly. I’ve been to Mexico and this restaurant is the closest you’ll get to authentic in Adelaide. I was so impressed that when the immensely friendly staff came over to ask about the food I genuinely had no words. HIGHLY recommend the Torta Loca, it took my breath away and not in a spicy way. But if spice is what you’re after they have optional salsa with a bit more of a tang. Prices were very reasonable too, we ended up eating a bit more than we normally would because the food was so nice. Absolute must visit for anyone who’s a fan of Mexican food…or even a fan of good food in general.
