Worst experience ever, my partner and I come to this cafe all the time. But this unpleasant new lil girl with a white hat on just ruined everything! She hardly understood anything on the menu, it took her ages to figure out what people want, she hardly understood English and didn’t even have a smile on her face! She didn’t even understand when I said “large”, as she gave me a medium size coffee instead. And she had no idea how to pour a dash of coat milk! But instead of an apology, I can’t believe she had a go at me in front of other customers, she was extremely rude and I saw her swear after I confirmed what I ordered was a “large long black with dash of oat milk”. And people around, but she had no shame on her terrible behaviour. The coffee she made tasted absolutely disgusting as well, it was super bitter, just like her bitter attitude, me and my partner were very disappointed in the end! We were really happy with the service before, but this girl is really not good enough for this job, she has no idea what she’s doing, it only pushes more customers away, if this lil girl can’t make coffees, make sure your service and attitude is good first, no one wants to see your disgusting behaviour and smug look on your face. Be more professional, more respectful, look at yourself in the mirror before giving anyone attitude, especially when it’s your fault, please get more education! We are regular customers, and always have been, but I never want to be served or treated by someone like this. She doesn’t deserve this job in such a beautiful community, she looks hideous enough in front of customers, her body language has shown no respect in her world, my partner and I also our family and friends will never be happy with this kind of people work in our beautiful...

We recently visited this local cafe for breakfast, and overall, it was a pleasant experience, though there were a few aspects that could be improved. The cafe has a charming retro vibe, creating a cozy yet lively atmosphere. The tables are well-spaced, which is a nice touch—it's comfortable and gives you a sense of privacy without feeling crowded.

The food was enjoyable. The mushrooms were cooked perfectly—flavorful and tender—and the poached eggs were spot-on, with beautifully runny yolks. The spinach was fresh, and the haloumi was crispy and nicely fried, adding a savory touch to the dish. However, I found the fritters to be a bit disappointing. They were quite oily and lacked the flavor I had hoped for, which was a shame given the quality of the other items on the menu. My husband also felt his dish was too oily.

The coffee was good—smooth and well-balanced—as a takeaway, the coffee is a decent option. Service was attentive and friendly, table service- we were given our coffees and food reasonably quickly.

One thing worth noting is that the menu items are on the pricier side. While the portions are decent, I did feel that the overall value could be improved, especially given that some of the dishes didn’t quite meet expectations.

In the end, we’d give this cafe 4 out of 5 stars. It's a lovely spot with great atmosphere and some tasty dishes, but there’s room for improvement in both the menu and pricing. I’d still be happy to return, but I think there’s potential for a more polished experience. Take away coffee is a...

I have avoided Gingers after previous bad experiences, but today was bad enough to prompt this review

This is not a family friendly cafe, and the owner seems disinterested in providing a welcoming service experience. This is the experience we had today:

Kids were keen to go to a cafe after kindergym, but we had limited time before myself son needed to nap, so we ordered a cookie and three baby chinos. The cafe was mildly busy mid morning, so I avoided getting a coffee for myself or any food that would take a while to prepare. Not a big order, be we were sat in the lounge area so weren't taking up tables

It took over 20mins for three baby chinos. The wait was barely acknowledged through the action of bringing out tattered colouring books for the kids after 10mins, with a selection of pencils that were 90% blunt or broken

We were walking out after having made the call to cut our loses when the owner brought out our baby chinos, which we no longer had time to sit and drink. He barely acknowledged us leaving as he was serving while on the phone. Waste of time and money, we will not be back again and I recommend other...

Cool retro place, reminds me of all the furniture my parents had when I was a kid haha.. The service is friendly, however the day I visited.... service was very slow, I ended up being late for my appointment nearby, what was suppose to be a quick bite & soy latte (sit-down) ended up being a rushed take away. The soy latte was bitter/burnt and the Bacon & Egg Muffin was dry and lacking some sauce 😢 This place has a Cool name and funky retro feel, but for me, the soy latte and food not up to scratch #sadness #nosauce #wasntanoption #bittercoffee

Came here for a Sunday noon lunch. Was very happy with my Mexican burger. Generous amount of guac and sauces. Very nice party. I would say the burger is as good as dedicated burger places. Chips were ok Price on the menu for all dishes are reasonable. Don't worry about my photo. I already took the stake out and held it before putting it back down for the photo.
