Unfortunately I have had several bad experiences at this particular store in the last few months.
I got served dairy instead of soy which made me sick for a whole day (I noticed it straight away but I had still had a small amount which was enough to make me sick) - this happened to our friends a few weeks later too
recently, the pearls taste different. It's like a 50/50 mix of gross, crunchy pearls and the normal, good pearls. It made my last tea undrinkable because every time I got a bad pearl it tasted horrible.
apparently the store has a new policy where they can keep their teas cool? I usually order no ice due to sensitive teeth and every drink was usually nice and cool (but not icy cold) and refreshing. My last drink was lukewarm and slimy. The staff member apologized and told me about th new policy, which sounds very unsafe to me. Is this to force everyone to get ice in their drinks?
Considering each drink (large, fruity or soy milk) costs between $8.50-9.30, this is not good enough. I hope this store can improve in the future but after spending $30-$50 on bad/horrible drinks recently, I will stay away for now.
This Chatime spot is pretty good, though it can be hit and miss. Sometimes they run out of tapioca pearls 1-2 hours before closing which is annoying, since it's one of the most important ingredients? Staff is usually friendly. It's always busy but they work hard and the drink doesn't take a long time to come out. They rarely make mistakes and are always happy to remake the drink if they do make a mistake. I’d rather have them take 2-4 minutes on a drink so it ends up tasting good, but for 8.50 dollars and 30 seconds on a drink that tastes like milk and ice with no glucose when I ordered standard sugar, it’s disappointing. I just ordered a taro milk tea and I work as a T-rista so I know how its made and how its supposed to look, but when they handed me my drink I was SOO confused on why it came in a pale pink colour when it was supposed to come out with a decent purple. I didnt really care until I drank it. To my surprise It was pure milk and ice. I did end up drinking all of it but only because I didn’t want to waste my 8.50 on nothing.I would’ve went back to ask what happened to my drink but my bus had just arrived.I used to have my drinks made there and sometimes it would taste good but it would come and go so I’m not THAT surprised, I’ve just thought that maybe they improved a little from not ordering from this chatime at marion...
Read moreEvery time I go here my order is always wrong and the customer service is terrible. Waited 10 minutes in the pick up section for my order that was sitting on the bench the whole time and not one of the 7 employees on acknowledged me and then when I got my order I had to wait another 10 minutes in the line because they made it incorrectly only for them to tell me there was nothing they could do because they were out of pearls and not attempt to ask me if I wanted another topping or a discount or anything. In the end I just left because I couldn’t be bothered, ruined my day.
They also have really poor hygiene standards, saw multiple employees touching their hair and face and not washing their hands before they made customers drinks.
Normally I wouldn’t leave reviews like this because I work in customer service myself and understand that we all have bad days but my order is constantly wrong and the customer service is constantly terrible whenever I visit this store and it seriously needs to...
