Casuarina Asian Bistro — Restaurant in Adelaide

3 ordered meals. One meal arrived and was finished with n sign of other two meals. 20 minutes or so after first meal delivered second meal arrived then a few minutes later the third. Third meal was beef curry. Over zapped in microwave as food and bowl were excessively hot. Beef was full of fatty lumps and gristle, I would have trimmed it to feed my dog! Made it inedible. I showed the waitress who offered another meal but by this time other two diners had finished and ge quality of mine had put me off. Went to pay and waitress who took plate away disappeared out the back. I explained curry. Offered discount which I thought would be a significant part of the $22 curry, it was $1.14. Complained that I was still paying $21 for an inedible meal. Service person went to get manager who told ne there was nothing wrong with curry, he accused me of eating majority of meal and now not wanting to pay. Terrible service and customer relations. For a place that was no where near capacity we were left for quite some time before I finally went up to the counter to order (assuming that's what I was supposed to do), then one of the service staff came over. We ordered our meals which were mediocre pub meals - Nothing special and somewhat overpriced for the quality. Many unused tables were not cleared the whole time we were there ~30 mins and yet one of the service staff tried to take a plate we were still eating off of. The 'Signature' salt and pepper squid was awful. Simply battered squid with copious amounts of ground pepper and salt thrown over it after frying. When i raised this with the manager he only defended his dish with the comment "Oh, so you're a chef then?" - I was quite insulted but quite frankly i could infact have done a better job myself. Very dissapointing waited 30 mins in restaurant, for an order that was placed at hm. Only to have the order not completed and a very abrupt, staff member not being courteous to the fact that we had items missing from our order which meant that we would have to wait again while the rest of the food was prepared which meant the other food would be going cold. I asked if they were able to keep it hot out the back to which the response was no. Due to the attitude of the staff member and no offer of a discount or a heart felt apology only excuses of we have new staff working in the back, that's not my issue, you told me 25 min wait when I called we waited another 30 min in store, and so I said give me refund. I was done. The owner apologised but he really didn't handle the situation very well.
