I don’t write reviews but after the awful food and rude service we had tonight I had to. We came to use the “kids eat free” offer which was advertised as needing a minimum $25 spend. We ordered two steaks which we were told were both on promo for $25. We were not told any further information regarding “not being allowed to do 2 promos at once” at the time of ordering. When we went to pay we were served by an extremely rude waitress who charged us for one $25 steak, one $30 steak, our drink, AND the kids meal. My husband tapped his card before I chimed in and said wait that price doesn’t sound right. Turns out only ONE steak was $25 even though we were told all of them were, and if we did that promo we couldn’t have our kid (who’s only 17 months old and hardly ate the food anyway) eat free. I went back to say that this didn’t seem very transparent at all, and this waitress blamed us for our ‘own mistake’ and if we didn’t read the “fine print” that’s our fault. I pushed the matter and the waitress got the “manager”. She came and said “Is there a problem here?”. I explained the situation kindly and with a smile and she went on to tell me that again it’s our fault for not reading the fine print. I asked kindly if they could just honour the kids feee meal this time as a good gesture, and we’d know for next time.. which she stated that if we hadn’t already paid she would’ve taken it off the bill, but coz we had paid there’s nothing she can do. I questioned that if she was the manager can she not give us a simple refund of $15 no big deal, which she replied “no I’m only a supervisor and we cannot give refunds”. She then went on and said “if we gave refunds we wouldn’t be making any money and we need to make money”. I then said wow ok, I don’t think I will be coming back here after this service. And both this supervisor and waitress from earlier said “ok no worries bye” in extremely high toned sarcasm. These staff members had no compassion and frankly zero consideration of customer satisfaction. All in all, dishonest, rude, money-centric, and incompetent.
I gotta add on top of this, food was average to gross. And the outside environment where we sat reminded me of an unkempt and dirty meth den. Gross...
Read moreJust some feedback for 20th March 25.
My partner and I entered about 7pm and was promptly greeted at the door. The female server led us to the table, she informs us that we order at the counter or via the QR code on the table.
We decided on the QR code and placed our order by 7.15pm.
Food and drinks took a while to come out.
First was the mozzarella sticks, kinda okay but could do with a bit more flavor on its on without relying on the marinara sauce it came with.
Second was the secret menu fried wings which were great on its own and with ranch. However, the smokey bbq that it came with tasted artifically smokey and straight up sugar.
Third to arrive was my drink which I ordered 1 bottle of 750ml Mt Franklin sparkling water. Unfortunalty they ran out and I was given 2 bottles of 330ml instead. If you do the maths I was still missing 90mls but that okay not a big loss.
Finally came was the Scotch fillet and the Beef Nachos.
The Scotch fillet did not seem like a scotch fillet, it was hard to cut and tough to chew but they do get credit for cooking it medium rare. Sweet potato frieds were good, the salad looked a bit sad and the mushroom sauce tasted kinda funny, had slight sour aftertaste.
From ordering to receiving, the beef nachos turned into vegetarian nachos which was fine. When it comes to nachos I usually order vegetarian but that night I felt like I need to add some protien which is all the rage now. Cheese was not melted and the $2 worth of jalapeno was missing.
Over all the mains were cold, bits and pieces were missing here and there.
The server did come and ask how were things but I decided against to bring up this up.
1, it will take more time to rectify the situation as we were already hungry and will push back the rest of the orders coming in. 2, they looked understaff and did not want to put on more pressure on them.
The only suggestion I can give is to look at the roster and put more people accordingly. If hours need to be saved, training staff as all rounders can help the relieve the pressure off kitchen staff and servers vice versa.
Will not be back for at least another 5 years or so as we do not come to Marion often. Hopefully things...
Read moreCame here Anzac Day night, checked the menu before hand and already anticipated a 10% public holiday surcharge and expecting to spend over $100.
Waiters were exceptionally nice, fast and welcoming. Ordered Online while sitting at table Via QR code.
Ordered the Garlic Calabatta as starters (Toasted Garlic Bread, 6 Pieces $12)
Mains, "Crispy Chicken Tenders with Fries" (6 Pieces, Coleslaw included , "FRIDAYS Signature Whiskey Glaze Single Burger" (Medium Will, fries includes, Extra Fried Chicken Breast $32.40) 2 Coke no sugars ($11.80). $8.20 Anzac Day Surcharge. Total? $91.01. Food came in 35 minutes. Restaurant was just under 1/4 capacity.
Our Starters came out with mains, and were cold. Can only assume was forgotten. Nothing worse then depressing cold garlic bread. Chicken Tenders are very similar to old school Hungry Jacks Tenders, same amount, about same size, identical taste and included a hefty amount of unsalted fries, no salt on table, only pepper. On the side of the plate a hefty blob of coleslaw, cheap, easy and one can only assume thrown on to try and justify the price, should of been advertised as "Coleslaw Salad with side of chicken Tenders". Burger was cold, except the chicken patty that was made fresh, juicy but a bit under seasoned. I've worked om kitchens I know how it is, those extra items get missed and it happens. What's unforgivable was the Beef patty, hard and dry. At first glance I believed I had ordered a Vegan Patty by mistake, but breaking it open pink, fleshy and cold. Either frozen meat or has been left out in open air too long to dry out. Either way not worth the $32.40. $11.80 is hefty for 2 thin glasses of Coke no sugar, remove the ice you're probably getting 200ml of soda for $5.40.
Price does not meet the quality of the food, glad to see the money has at least gone to deserving staff. Never been to a burger place and thought "Should of gone to Maccas". Feels like Just another American Burger Franchise except this one serves Alcohol and has Instagram friendly décor. Thank you staff for working...
