Well looked after by happy, helpful staff.

When I arrived, the box office attendant noticed I had a walking stick and offered to have a staff member escort me in the lift. Upstairs, a beautiful staff member, Boadicea, retrieved a stool and opened a balcony for my husband and I to sit in. At the end of the show a staff member offered to get the lift. Boadicea then came back and took us down in the lift. She offered for us to come in a little early next time so they could make me comfortable without the crowd. She seemed to be a floor supervisor or similar but took the time out of a busy night to really make us welcome. Most appreciated. The bar staff not only put a slice of lemon in my drink, they squeezed it slightly to flavour the water - very thoughtful.

The only opportunity for improvement would be the sound wasn't quite right.

Every staff member we encountered were really lovely. Not only terrific customer service but genuinely thoughtful.

The venue management obviously choose and train their staff...

A huge shout out to the staff . My daughter booked for us to see " Rag and Bone man" , who was outstanding. As I have a back complaint my daughter contacted venue who were so accommodating, reserving us two seats we asked for ,at no extra charge , front of the que, lift , to merchandise if we wished , accompanied by a staff member. Excellent customer service. Only complaint... customers, "I want a seat , I emailed "even when obvious they hadn't ( yes I heard you tell friends) or " I have emailed and all my friends want seats" but this was not expressed in email and only one seat accommodated for , the staff went above and beyond, had some abuse ,staff handled it very well and politely. I did feel sorry for them though . Advice if you have a seen or not seen disability, just contact the venue express your wishes and I am sure they will try there best to help . From me ..thanks all staff you...

Terrible experience – assaulted by security and denied access to my camera equipment.

I was invited to this venue by a performing support act to film their set. Shockingly, I was physically assaulted by venue security without warning or proper communication. After being violently forced outside, I was not allowed to re-enter to retrieve my camera gear—despite calmly requesting access multiple times.

The security team were completely unprofessional, aggressive, and seemed more interested in flexing authority than ensuring anyone’s safety. Their behaviour was not only unacceptable but outright dangerous. It’s deeply concerning that a venue would allow this kind of conduct from staff without any accountability.

I’d strongly caution any performers, crew, or patrons thinking of attending or working here—especially if you’re bringing equipment or working in...

Four stars for the chandalier, that thing is beaautiful, AND the lighted stairs, those things are captivating. I was there to see THE MARK OF CAIN (Sat. 25.11.23). And I will be there for Electric Call Boy 27.11.23! I was shocked that a can of Melbourne is $11. Not that other venues don't charge a comparable price for a can or pint. I'm old and miserly, and the cost of living boggles my brain. Like, consider. I paid $70 to see two bands. That's 6 beers. Well, 6. So, for the cost of a six pack I can see two bands, several humans and their artistic and skilled efforts beating out. It's stupid hey. And these bands live by merch.... Anyway, Im off topic. The venue is good. If you are coming from outta town like I did, get to Hindley St early and enjoy the atmos on the street and other venues. It's wild. And, hey, do enjoy the chandlier and stairs.

I had my first adventure at this venue with a seated gig. Although the seats were uncomfortable, I absolutely look forward to going and seeing more bands and artists. A great venue for Adelaide. The size of the venue is great. Large and yet still not too large for the audience to feel connected to the performer. I hope more interstate artists will come to Adelaide to Hindley Street Music Hall. Adelaide loves to go to the shows. We love to party. Ticket prices are reasonable. The organisers are very professional. No hassle getting in. There is an in-house bar. 28 Nov 2024 Here again to see The Cult. A great place to see a band. Adelaide needs places like this and The Gov to encourage interstates to come and entertain us. Thanks for the venue.
