Theatre is great but PLEASE BAN FOOD

People are paying to hear a performance. Not: chip packets being opened during memorable musical moments

people eating with their mouths open

crunching chips: it is an auditable hell trying to listen to something you payed $$$ for and the person behind you is crunching so loud you cannot hear the performance

being sworn at because you politely asked the people behind you to not eat with their mouths open so loudly

have drink cups dropped during performances it is loudly distracting

opening Velcro lunch bags (seriously).

people scratching food around cups

inability to drink without slurping

I went to ASO does Hans Zimmer and you were immersed in the moment. Beauty and the Beast was a nightmare. We were given free tickets after a shocking experience on our first night. No one should have to listen to what I listed above. Sadly night 2 we had people rows behind us eating either their mouths open. Rows back and we could hear it.

Ban food. There is literally zero reason why food needs to be in a theatre for a 2.5 hour performance. If people have complained about not having food in there then let them - they can eat outside the theatre.

If eating noise and taking people away from a performance for a packet of chips sale is more important than the ticket sale - the theatre does not have the experience at focus if food is more important.

Really disappointed in multiple experiences now. Please do better. Ban food. It’s...

Attended my first Broadway musical (Frozen) since the Festival Centre had been recently redeveloped.

From the easy to access undercover parking, to the excellent facilities and world class standard service and stage, I was most impressed with the experience from start to finish.

Parking was a breeze, even 40 minutes before the show. The lifts up to the centre were extremely busy, but the alternative stairs were easy to find and access, and not an arduous climb.

Staff were very friendly and helpful and make the experience all the more enjoyable. I really felt welcome.

The view from the AA row seating over the balcony was incredible. The sound was a perfect volume, nice and loud, but not too loud that it hurt the ear, and really set the atmosphere. The live orchestra providing accompaniment to the show was outstanding.

I will definitely visit again next time another show piques my...

We went to see beauty and the beast and unfortunately could not park in the festival car park unless you were a casino rewards member , no advance notice and therefore had to park miles away, poor elderly people having to walk The foyer was packed with people, mainly school children, you could not move. Someone very smart decided to put a gigantic advertising board of beauty and the best right in-front of the foyer where people could take pictures of themselves. Very chaotic, disorganized and a safety issue if there ever needed to be an evacuation The toilets were filled with school kids just hanging around talking, not a teacher in sight to supervise them . Someone should seriously look into the crowd control and spreading people to other parts of the venue. Don’t think I will be visiting or recommending this venue...

Amazed by the size and presence of this theatre. Very well laid out within. We had a great time at the Pink Floyd Orchestrated concert. The parking on the other hand was terrible. More so the exit after the show. The parking lock was completely gridlocked to the point where we decided to go back up for a walk and came back nearly an hour later to yet again be stuck in a queue. I understand the concert was fully booked but I've parked at venues bigger than this and been able to get out of the carpark quicker. Be prepared for the wait time. Oh and a better way to get down to the carpark is via the stairs after a show.

Staff were excellent in their assistance. I have a recent diagnosis of Parkinsons and are gradually learning how to have a reasonable quality of life. After my wife & I had lunched at the Festival Centre we made our way to our entry point of the theatre. I fainted. The staff immediately were there. Called the Manager. Genuine concern & compassion were shown. They arranged for a change of seating so that we were located near the isle should I need to quickly exit. Fortunately no further incident occurred & we enjoyed the 9 to 5 musical performance immensely. Our sincere thanks. Paul.
