This hotel is fine. I cannot stress this enough: it's not good, and it's not bad, it's just fine.

You might be looking at the photos and saying to yourself, how nice! Looks modern, near the convention center, it's an easy choice. And if convenience wins, then sure. This hotel will serve you. The photos are a bit cherry picked though.

But the problems, or possibly annoyances, are numerous. there was a perpetual fart smell from the bathroom drains - but once you were in the room for 15 minutes it stockholm syndromed its way into your brain and you forgot the keycards regularly needed numerous attempts to work, and needed regular rekeying throughout our stay - the lifts are ancient! And after a long day, you just want this to work hindley st is not that well insulated, so on Fri/Sat the rooms are noisy (probably forgivable for the location) our room had a broken sliding door - which was fixed the next day! - but with an infant it was a bit concerning the wifi runs at 100kbit max, useless for modern use - but if we connected to the hidden undocumented Ethernet (which no one except prepared nerds would do), it was 60mb+ there was not enough dish soap or washing detergent - we could ask for more! - but for a week stay, prepare the room the place is also just run down. Door jams didn't align (noisy to open and close), locks didn't work. Beds were hard but maybe that's your thing we had to park next door because there wasn't enough parking for the first night, and the code didn't work so I had to constantly call the intercom and talk to the unmotivated parking attendants. We didn't give them much notice, but check you can actually park onsite when you book. the lift to parking is only one of three, so to get to it you mostly needed to go to G and then back up. Clearly fine but slightly annoying. the garbage chute was frustrating to use and tiny.

More generally the staff seemed not at all proactive. For example, on checking in, we had a pile of stuff - our family was struggling to carry everything. After several loads, and bags that broke, the staff finally pointed out that there was a huge trolley right there. Maybe open with that.

Again, all of this is fine but annoying. And Adelaide just isn't that big- another 5 or 10 minutes walk wouldn't hurt (if you're going for a convention) - that would be my suggestion.

Why did we stay here at all? Well... it was two bedroom (and most traditional hotels don't have this). it had a washer/dryer - this was handy, and honestly while I would never own an integrated unit at home, at a hotel it was super convenient - I could set it and forget it. Of course, there's no instructions and the buttons are intractable! We had to watch several YouTube videos to determine how to activate its features.

It also had a cafe. But you can throw a stone and find 5 more, maybe don't see this as a bonus.

So, again, this hotel...

In a pinch for last-minute accommodation, Oaks Adelaide Horizons Suites came to the rescue and exceeded all expectations. My experience with this establishment was nothing short of exceptional, and I am incredibly grateful for their seamless assistance during my time of need.

With little time to spare, I reached out to Oaks Adelaide Horizons Suites for availability, and their responsive and accommodating approach immediately put my mind at ease. The staff went above and beyond to secure a comfortable and well-appointed suite for me, despite the short notice.

Walking into the suite, I was pleasantly surprised by the level of comfort and luxury it provided. The modern furnishings, spacious layout, and attention to detail truly set the tone for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. It's evident that Oaks Adelaide Horizons Suites takes pride in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and comfort, even on such short notice.

The suite's amenities were both thoughtful and convenient. From the well-equipped kitchenette to the cozy seating area and the comfortable bed, every aspect of the suite was designed to ensure a comfortable and hassle-free stay. The panoramic views of the city from the suite's windows added an extra touch of beauty to the experience.

The location of the hotel was also a major advantage. Situated in the heart of Adelaide, it provided easy access to nearby attractions, dining options, and public transportation, making my impromptu exploration of the city effortless.

Above all, it was the staff's warmth and professionalism that truly stood out. Despite my last-minute booking, I was treated with the utmost respect and kindness. Their dedication to ensuring a positive guest experience, regardless of the circumstances, left a lasting impression on me.

In conclusion, Oaks Adelaide Horizons Suites proved to be a lifesaver for my last-minute accommodation needs. Their responsiveness, comfortable suites, and exceptional service made an unexpected situation feel like a well-planned getaway. If you find yourself in need of short notice accommodation in Adelaide, I wholeheartedly recommend Oaks Adelaide Horizons Suites. Their commitment to guest satisfaction shines through, even in the face of unexpected...

SUB-STANDARD!

Do not waste your money here.

Outdated. Lifts do not work. Keycards an absolute nightmare. Swipe as many times as you like and the one guarantee is that the buttons on the lift don’t work nor access to your room.

You are required to empty your rubbish bin into a CHUTE which is located near room 7 on every level. Enter the room which requires a gas mask as the stench makes you vomit. The chute is disgusting- looks like it’s never been cleaned.

There’s only one lift to the car park which requires you to wait 10 mins or more to gain access. The two other lifts come to your level and you are required to enter them press ground walk out and wait for the other lift. Honestly it’s an absolute joke. These little things matter and they are not right. Reception don’t even pick up the phones when you ring them. Basic supplies like a spatula non existent ice cube tray cracked to pieces and not replaced. You get ONE TOILET ROLL for the week and one rubbish bag. The room is totes updated holes in the wall, scratches, and a musty stench greets you as you enter the room. The cleaners are rude and unfriendly. After waiting 10 mins for the lift to the car park a cleaner with her trolley closed the door on us and went to the next level. Had to wait another 10 mins. The car park is limited in parks available and viewing dirty laundry displayed in the lifts and car park as you first arrive is completely off-putting! BEWARE! This place needs to be closed down and rebuilt! TOTALLY GROSS! TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED! TOTALLY RIPPED OFF! NEVER AGAIN. THIS BRAND OAKS...

We loved the room , Oaks was wonderful as usual and the staff were helpful, polite and friendly. The facilities are currently closed, not due to the restrictions but as they are not ready to open yet. So if you are looking to stay here do not assume you will have use of the facilities. We did have an issue whilst staying here, however the response from the manager was prompt and professional, and we have been provided with a full refund and compensation for our experience, and as such I would continue to recommend staying with Oaks. The rooms are comfortable and clean and modern with great facilities. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment with a bath and kitchen and balcony. Nice city views. The king size bed was amazing. Thank you Oaks Horizons!

Great location, twin rooms are extremely small. Staff are professional and helpful. Only issue is that the socket was coming out of the wall, I reported this on a Sunday and was told the maintenance man doesn’t work on the weekend, they would look into it on Monday. We had to move a bed to living room to avoid being so close to the PowerPoint. For the entirety of our stay 5 days the issue wasn’t resolved. Staff come in to service our room and still nothing. The sheer lack of regard for our safety was pretty shocking. I understand the hotel was fully booked and they couldn’t move us but I’d never recommend or stay here again, even Backpackers would be better.

Central location makes it easy and convenient to explore the CBD. Public transport is easily accessible with tram and bus stops withing a short walk. If you stay in a room overlooking North Terrace be mindful that you'll get a lot of noise on the balcony from the convention centre across the road - not the hotel's fault, With the windows closed the noise disappears. The only problem we had was the lifts. They are a real disappointment - getting them to operate and to take you to the required level was sometimes a big challange as the buttons seemed to ignore your pushing them. The controls need urgent upgrade or replacement.
