A very large and well kept park at Bargara, Qld. With the land designated by the authorities in 1912, this park has a long history in the community. Situated right on the coast, with mowed parklands, shade trees, picnic tables and seating. From about 1925 an annual Picnic Train ran from nearby towns, such as Gladstone. There are information boards detailing some of the park's history over more than a century.

Spent a lot of time hear growing up, now take my own kids here. Great beach for younger kids, water warm and generally good conditions. Ideal spot for learning to surf. Patrolled during summer. Small cafe under the surf club if you need a bite to eat or drink. Skate Park just behind beach, plus a great walking and cycling track.

Stunning area of coastline located at Bargara. Great walking paths and park areas. Good spot for a picnic or family gathering. Ample parking and tables and bench seating available. If you're lucky you can spot a whale in the distance from the foreshore.

One of the best parks and beaches to take your kids, The BBQ areas are around the playground so while u cook the kids can have a play, there's a slab of concrete where the old skating rink use to be, so you can skate, skateboard, scooter ride a bike on it with your little one and adults alike, they also have a skate bowl near the old skate rink, than u have the beach as well. So all In all its a great park to take your Family, nice place for a romantic picnic, a great place to sit on the beach and read a...

Went here for a swim a few times- found that the surfers at this beach have no respect for the swimmers- seen a young guy surf over the top of a elderly man and cut his back with the fin on the surf board- all the time i was in the water i was trying to move out of the way of being hit by a surf board as the surfers wasnt obeying the surf outside of the swimming area. as evening came i was bitten by sand flies. in saying all this , i have to say the good part too, the park is nice...
