Got a bit of a surprise with this one. We don't live in the area but had to drop our car off nearby for a few hours. I had my two young children with me and plenty of time to kill. We looked on Google Maps and noticed there was a park nearby. I packed the scooter and some lunch and we headed off. The park itself has a fantastic bike, or in our case scooter, track around its perimeter. It was wide enough to comfortable scooter and push the pram without being in the way of bikers coming the other way. There is a lot to do here - basketball courts, a skate park, soccer nets, netball hoops, shaded play equipment, exercise equipment, tennis courts, soccer/football fields - and the list goes on. I was also grateful for the open public toilets. Unfort there was a lot of wind the day we visited and, as much of the grass around the play equipment has been worn away, the area became a bit of a dust bowl, which wasn't...

Dont go to cafe 51 with your children on your visit. THE PARK IS GREAT!!! However take your own food or go to another cafe. My 5yr old fell on the unsecure sign and fell on a parked car.... nobody asked if my child was ok. I was criticised for my parenting and the cafe staff where only intersted in $$$. This was on top of waiting a good 15min to order another 15mins to be served just cooked chips. My guess to shut me up and get me out of there. My 6 children where extremely well behaved while waiting, no my 5yr old didnt apoligise nor did i when i realise the cafe or the customers cared more about the car then my children trying their hardest to be well behaved. Next time perhaps an adult should be smacked! Instead of suggesting to...

A 2.4km footpath circles the park, which is used by walkers and joggers. Has provision for slow-paced cycling or internal an road for the quicker riders. There is a layout of physical work stations for those wanting to get fit near the large, over 1 acre, fenced off-leash dog park. There are about 40 netball courts, soccer & football fields, 4 cricket practice nets as well utilised for Little A's on Friday afternoons. On the York Rd section, a fantastic & friendly Skate Park is situated next to to build in gym equipment, children's playground and parkland used by groups for personal training. With all that going on, the park is so big, it is...

Jamison Park is a recreational area maintained by Penrith City Council where people of all ages can come and use the facilities of fitness equipment distributed all along the perimeter of a concrete walking track, Netetball is played by many on a Saturday throughout the season. Cricket competition is played on these grounds which is worth watching. Children have a payground with an amazing array of playing equipment not to mention the skateboard ramps. Many can appreciate the many majestic trees along both sides of the walkway along York Road, I personally recommend visiting at the time the sun sets: Just heavenly good for the soul.☺

Awesome place to do body weight calisthenics. Dips bars, chinup bars, & outdoor gym equipment. Cycle & walking path surround the park. Full skate ramp, netball courts, kids playground, soccer, rugby league & cricket sporting fields plus cricket nets. Amazing sports & recreation hub for the Nepean area.
