Wat an awsum park it is huge, it keeps going n going. It is a water themed park n it looks like it would be so much fun, there is a "creek" with turtles n fish in it, then a school of fish swimming along, there is a treasure chest, an anchor ⚓️, a half sunken ships steering wheel, there was only one sprinkler working unfortunately. Up the top there are baby swings n toddler swings, n bigger kids swings all set in a "circle" so u can watch each other swing, a couple of 🛝 n also a fully covered bright coloured slide. There is also a big blue octopus you can walk into with plaques from different schools in the area. The toilet facilities are a decent size and also have a disabled stall. There is a big sandpit area with a shipwreck and a giant yellow fish n a bench n sinks for water play. Then there is a big giant red 🦀, a lilac octopus 🐙 a yellow submarine which has tape around it so not meant to be used, this area is for water play n the ground is made to be like rolling waves, but unfortunately there were rocks thrown around n was very messy n unsafe looking n the water wasn't working. Then there is the climbing frame playground which has something for everybody n seems to all interconnect plus a couple more swings. There is so much seating n footpaths for scootering or biking or skating. The ground is uneven, as in going up n down hills n flat ground different types of pathways. The gardens are well developed but need some TLC. There is plenty of parking plenty of tables n chairs n covered area, there is a track leading down to the Brisbane River which has a flat beach like edging. This place has so much imagination put into it I hope it gets fixed up n used properly again . Oh and a flying fox n heaps n heaps of shade from some beautiful old trees. Plenty of parking

Colmslie Beach Reserve is a hidden gem nestled along the Brisbane River in Murarrie, offering a delightful escape for families, nature enthusiasts, and anyone seeking a serene outdoor experience. Tucked away at the end of Colmslie Road, this park surprises visitors with its tranquil beach area, providing stunning views of the Gateway Bridge and the river. The sandy shoreline is perfect for building sandcastles, gentle splashing, or simply relaxing while watching boats drift by. A sturdy wooden staircase leads down to this peaceful bay, making it an ideal spot for a quiet moment or a family picnic. Children will be enchanted by the marine-themed playground, featuring large sculptures of sea creatures like an octopus, fish, crab, and a yellow submarine to climb on. The playground also boasts a flying fox, slides, balancing beams, and a musical boat, catering to kids of various ages and abilities. Interactive water play elements add to the fun, making it a vibrant and engaging play area

Lovely, pretty spot with the Brisbane River as a backdrop. There are sheltered areas with tables and barbeques available. Parking on-site. The playground has lots to offer children of a variety of ages. Swings, climbing frames, slides, flying fox, sandpit and more. There's a small track that goes throughout the play area perfect for scooters. Toilets available. Some tips: bring some repellant just in case. There is a sign that says snakes have been spotted in the area. I have been there a number of times and not seen any but just a heads up. Apart from not being able to have an uninterrupted view of the kids while playing cannot fault this playground. One of the best I've been to in Brisbane.
