We did the rum making class, and it is absolutely the best tour and class I've ever been on. The main distiller George took us through the entire process of producing rum and was incredible in his knowledge and passion for his work. We thoroughly enjoyed learning, and then we were able to try a few of their rums and then created our own with their guidance. We added our own volumes of rums, flavours, and sweetener flavours to produce our own unique 200ml rum to take home. I can hands down say this is the best, most informative, and most interactive tour I've ever been on. If you are wanting a unique place that has character and ambience to host a large function then go to Bavay Distillery….they did not disappoint. From the initial email enquiry for my partners 60th birthday through to the end of the night every stage was seamless thanks to Jake the Distillery Manager and the great team at Bavay, the bar staff who are experts at their field and know how to create a great cocktail and of course the Bavay products are of quality thanks to George. The food was fantastic as well and catered enough for the hungriest of guests.
