Went during the school holidays. They weren't especially busy but I still had to wait 50 minutes for fish and chips and a steak sandwich.

You'd think with that wait time they put some decent effort into the food. Nope. Steak was really poor quality, full of gristle and well overcooked. It was so though not even the dog would eat it (I'm not joking). So of course the whole sandwich fell apart when trying to eat it. The rest of the sandwich was average, they used so much sauce the bread was soggy and falling apart.

The batter on the fish and chips was actually tough. Couldn't even cut it you had to tear it. The fish itself wasn't nice fish, but they charged like it was.

The only thing that was halfway decent were the chips, but not worth what they were charging.

It was all way over priced for what you get as well.

Oh and I ordered iced coffees. They were gone in one sip as they used ice as a filler. All up I spent (wasted) 84 dollars

They are lucky they are the only place serving at Koombana otherwise they'd be out of business surely. Unless people from Bunbury are used to sub standard quality and service. Saving grace is the location...

The sun was out on Koombana Beach front and why not enjoy the warmth while you can in winter, especially in Bunbury. So I stumbled across this cafe in a prime location which is to die for. If the sign on the door of the establishment reads closes at 3.30pm, that's fair enough. However, I walked in at 2.55pm. I only wanted a coffee and a cake and to sit outside in the warm sun where there were only two other people. The customer service I received today was far from great in fact quite rude and irritating. Her greeting was as if i had asked for the moon! Yes we are closing soon, but we are open!! I tried to make polite conversation but it was like pulling teeth. Obviously this particular staff member had a big day and just wasn't interested. Then it was time for her to come outside, and asked me to move, because unfortunately I was sitting at the table outside with the only two chairs that were now going to be moved inside (i couldn't believe it ) why couldn't she have told me to sit on a bench and move the chairs when she cleaned the other tables. Under new management - 2025 - review update. What a difference! Food and service good. Cheery and helpful staff. A new glassed in undercover area, so indoor and outdoor seating options. Fruit toast was two pieces of very thick heavy toast - should have ordered one between two but we ferreted the second piece in our hand bags. Coffee fairly good but could be hotter in my opinion. Will def head back now!

2024 - Lucky that they have a great location. Service nearly no existent, with the staff member seeming to feel that cleaning syrup pumps was more important than serving the three sets of customers. Eventually she decided to serve me and I ordered 2 takeaway coffees. She gave me a buzzer and after waiting nearly half an hour, I went in snd saw two coffees on the counter. When I enquired, they were the coffees. I said the buzzer did not go off and she shrugged, pointed at the coffees and walked off. We were left with two very average, cold coffees.
