Awesome beach, waves can get absolutely mental but itโs all in the fun. Caught some waves with our surfboard, also got out boggie on with our boggie board. Was a bloody awesome day enjoying some uv rays, some soft white sand, beautiful blue ocean and some washing machine waves. No matter what your into this beach cater for everyone, be wary of where you enter the beach and how far you go down the closer you go to the caper Byron end be careful with kids as we did see some nudist down that end otherwis was a ripper beach

Very disappointed!! Firstly, if youโre over 25 stay away. Not for you. Sadly, the council is so change averse, nothing has changed in 30 years. Same infrastructure but 50 times more tourists. No signs of the police so drug and alcohol abuse a big issue any time of day. Homeless people abound and dole bludgers have moved in. By contrast shops and food outlets cater to the rich and famous. Food was surprisingly sub-standard and service from back packers sick of tourists was the norm. This jewel of a place has become a run down slightly derelict has been. Very sad indeed. Someone on the council or in government needs a wake up call.

Long popular beach We visited Byron Bay during ANZAC weekend. The beach is adjacent to the town centre, very nice and extremely popular. Even at 10.30 am, it was extremely difficult to find a place to park the car. But once this was done, the beach itself is superb. There is something for everyone- surfers, swimmers, walkers or those who were there to simply relax. The water was still quite warm and the sweeping views delightful.

A hipster, chilled, little leaned back village straight at the beach with a lot of hipster bars and restaurant. It looks like walking barefoot or having at least a dog is a standard here. We enjoyed our stay here at the little charismatic village and would come back. Avoid the expensive restaurants at the beach and go to the nice decorated little restaurants/take-always in the village.

Beautiful place to travel to. The beaches, views and walks are amazing. Stop by and enjoy an icecream or coffee after you head up to the main attraction, the Light House. See some wonderful artifacts and take a tour to the top and learn how it was looked after. You may even spot some sea turtles, dolphins or even the majestic whales during the winter months.
