Extremely disappointed with today’s Service .
We had travelled from Sydney and were looking to enjoy a night out at this establishment .
We had high hopes in trying these dishes as the previews reviews seemed promising .
My company were welcomed without any issues .
I however ; was denied from having to dine in .
I had presented my medical exemption which is from NSW Health and offered to show my ID and prove my authenticity .
The lady was still hesitant to serve me ; and would only allow me to dine out doors or opt for take away .
As someone who also works in hospitality ; I understand the importance of following the NSW health orders . However ; any person who had recovered from Covid -19 were dismissed from NSW Health and were medically exempt as they had developed natural immunity and are to be treated as though they are vaccinated - this was outlined in the medical exemption which was disregarded .
I had also reassured the waitress that my exemption was legitimate and that she will not be fined ; nor is she acting out of compliance for the exemption was released by NSW health which is recognized within the state .
The store comfortably welcomed vaccinated patrons without questioning their status; oblivious to the fact that the vaccine reduces the severity of the symptoms and that they can be serving fully vaccinated diners; unaware if they have virus or not .
Also ; should the store ever have a Covid outbreak ; it is highly likely that the virus would of been contracted from someone vaccinated as 90+ % of the state ( above the age of 16 ) is / are fully vaccinated .
To the owner/s and management; please review the necessary information and requirements in regards to who can dine into your store as neither my self nor my company ; all of whom are vaccinated ; appreciated your services and experience .
The only threat for the store was to actually serve someone who had the virus - irrespective if they are vaccinated or not ; not a Covid negative patron .
I look forward to your non...
Read moreThe restaurant has potential, but there some obvious drawbacks preventing it from even being mostly recommended.
While I found the food to be made of quality ingredients, presented well, it was very mild/boring in its flavour.
For example, the sweet/sour stir fry seemed to cancel itself out, and while the texture and presentation was fine, the flavour interest was missing.
The rice was not warmed through, but it was gluggy too. This means it's been standing for too long.
Service, I must say, is fairly awful, with obviously uninterested working visa staff who see you as pure hassle, not as a valid customer. I've never been brought a single dish by a waitress and asked, "Which is which?". (The question didn't even make sense).
Somewhere underneath these issues there is a worthy restaurant, but just be prepared to be handle all this baggage if you visit...
Read moreI only ever order takeaway from Success, but sadly I won't be any longer. When they were down the other end of town (across from Woolies) they used to be affordable and the takeaway sizes were generous, but these days all you get is half filled containers comprised of mostly sauce and next to no vegetables. It's laughable if you didn't have to pay at least $20 per curry (not including rice). Clearly they don't care about repeat business from locals and are catering to tourists otherwise they would fill the containers. I'd give them 2.5 stars, because 2 stars is fairly harsh and implies they've failed but the food is still pretty tasty, but in my opinion you're much better off going around the corner to Orient Express, a superior dining experience. Sorry Success, no more recommendations or...
