Wonderful beach. Long and sandy. Surf lifesavers on duty. At the Bargara end of the beach is the swimming basin, this is a great area for beginners and family’s. At the basin end there are toilets and shelters with seating and BBQs and the golf club if you need food and drink. At the other end is the inlet again great for beginners and family’s with food available from a food van. This end also has toilets and BBQs available. I'm very fortunate to have good friends who live in the area so I truly am able to relax when in town.

This beach surprised me. It has surf pleasing enough for my mate - he's been surfing for 30 years and is originally from the Sunny Coast - that's my only appeal to authority - the ocean is not my playground.
