This play centre was a nice little find. Its located in the National Museum and entry is only $10 a child plus $5 for each adult. It's suited for 0-6 year olds and have a range of play stations including books and reading spots, dress ups, a climbing gym and a number of other exhibits and experiences. The centre was really clean, looked new and there are changing rooms for little ones and bathrooms and lockers. There are a few sessions each day but today it was raining so they extended the session and allowed everyone to go when they wanted so we were there for over 2 hours.

During the school holidays, we took a trip out to the museum and half the museum was closed for renovations which I didn't understand when they had all year but they wait for school holidays to do the work! The Tim and Gina discovery centre was part of this closure, which was disappointing! I hope they work this out quickly as I do like the museum, just not when you think they are trying to make you see certain things in particular.

It's complete nonsense that you're charging anything at all, let alone $5, for parents when all they're doing is watching their children. This fee is absurd and unfair, especially considering that parents are simply there to supervise and support their kids. It’s outrageous to nickel-and-dime families for something as basic as being present at an event or activity. You should reconsider this policy, as it alienates the very people who are invested in their children's...
