Clearly this small kitchen cares deeply about what they serve to their public. The gentle finesse in their use of spices results in the outcome of each and every dish to be so much greater than the sum of its parts. While they only serve 6 dishes + injera bread, what is on offer is diverse and so damn tasty. All dishes are gluten-free (except for the Injera bread), and 4/6 dishes are vegetarian. I can't think of another place in Canberra where it's so easy to get a healthy balanced meal, let alone for such a low price!! The only negative here might be the lunch time queue, but I assure you Fekerte's is well worth being patient for. Anyway, these day we all need to learn to be more patient, and value the opportunity to stand still...

The bain-marie with each menu option ready to go offers for a speedy service, which helps the line that extends to be quite long move at a steady pace.
The prices are reasonable and the food tastes incredible! The option to have 2 meals in one as well as either over bread or rice makes the experience interesting and custom to you. They also use biodegradable products.
The location can be a bit cramped and there is limited dine-in options, as it is a "hole-in-the-wall" style place with seating outside, but don't let it's location steer you away from the great food and lovely staff.
