Kongs Oriental Supermarket — Attraction in East Victoria Park

Kongs is a popular Asian groceries shop located at the heart of Victoria Park, Perth.

There are plenty of Asian products and frozen foods from various countries that suit most people needs.

The prices are reasonable and comparable to other similar shops.

There are great variety of Asian snacks, frozen foods, instant noodles, and Asian drinks. I like to get the instant coffee bags here.

You can even find frozen durian and jackfruit as well as Singapore or Malaysian style paratha. If you planning to prepare for hot pot at home, there are a lots of hotpot ingredients and frozen foods available too.

They have a great selection of Asian food and kitchen products. I'm ethnically Filipino and they usually have stock of everything I need to make the dishes my parents made me growing up.

Whenever I miss my late father, I come here to buy banana leaves and sticky rice to make my favourite dessert (suman malagkit). Once the freezer that stocks the banana leaves broke, one of the workers noticed me hovering a little and she got me some from the back - great service! They're also really friendly to my kids which I appreciate.

As far as Asian food goes, this place has it all... As long as it comes in a tin, jar or frozen packet. The shelves are stacked high and seemingly in no order at all. Is it stocked by brand? I don't even know.

Outside, it looks like the store is permanently closed but approach the sliding doors and you get a look at another world of Asian goods. If you can't find what you are looking for here you probably won't find it here in WA.

Be aware, the supplies of fresh goods are lacking here, I would recommend shopping elsewhere in this regard. They do have fresh tofu in the fridges in the back left corner, and more. Service is...
