Beautiful garden for a walk with plenty of open spaces for a picnic or to kick a ball. However, being a botanical garden, it would be nicer to see more trees and other plants.

Beautiful. Friendly locals. Amazing playground for the children. Dog friendly. Expanse lush lawns for picnics with large shady trees for hot days.

Great Place to walk around and enjoy the scenery if your passing through its worth the stop to have a stretch.

I had a wonderful experience at Gisborne Botanic Gardens! This hidden gem is a perfect escape for nature lovers and families alike. The gardens are beautifully maintained, showcasing a diverse array of plants and flowers that bloom all year round.

The walking paths are well-marked and easy to navigate, making it a great spot for leisurely strolls or a peaceful jog. I particularly loved the tranquil pond area, where I spotted various birds and enjoyed the serene atmosphere.

The children's playground is a fantastic addition, providing a safe and fun environment for kids to play. Plus, the picnic areas are perfect for a relaxing lunch surrounded by nature.

Whether you're a local or just visiting, the Gisborne Botanic Gardens is a must-see. I can’t wait to return and see how the gardens change with the seasons! Highly...

A lovely Botanic Gardens, focused on New Zealand plants to show the bond between Gisborne, Victoria and its sister city Gisborne in New Zealand. Unfortunately one of the star sculptures of the show has been vandalised and had its head stolen (why on earth do people think they have the right...) but it's a nice walk around in a quiet part of town. Good decent sized playground for kids which caters for most ages, from very young (1) and often see kids up to about 14...
